自動巻きアラーム「Memovox」シリーズの中でも特に希少なツートンダイヤルとワールドタイム表示を備えたモデルです。本品は外周がブラック、アラームディスクがシルバーのコントラストが際立つ配色で、内側のシルバー部分には世界各都市名が精緻にプリントされています。ステンレススチール製のケースは36mm径で、実用性と存在感を兼ね備えたプロポーションです。搭載ムーブメントはカレンダー付き自動アラームキャリバーCal.K825。また、アラーム用の駆動は時間表示機構とは別の香箱を使用しており、アラーム作動が時計のパワーリザーブを侵食しない構造が設計上の特徴です。

ダイヤルは均整の取れた発色と鮮明なプリントが保たれ、アラームディスクやインデックスに大きな劣化は見られません。ケースは大変ミントで、オリジナルの形状と質感がよく残っています。ムーブメントは概ね安定して作動しており、アラーム機構も含め操作感は良好です。本品は分解掃除は行っておりません。

ツートンダイヤルかつワールドタイム仕様のRef.855は製造数が少なく、Memovoxのバリエーションの中でも特別な存在です。実用機構と洗練された意匠が高次元で融合したこのモデルは、コレクションとしても魅力が高く、時を経ても色褪せない存在感を放ちます。

＜JAEGER LE COULTRE（ジャガー・ルクルト）＞は、現在も個性的なモデルを数多く製造し続けるマニュファクチュール。かつては、他の名門メーカー（ヴァシュロン・コンスタンタン、オーデマピゲ、パテックフィリップ、カルティエ等）にもムーブメントやパーツ等のエボーシュを供給していました。始まりは1183年、スイスの小さな工房から。「科学によって立つ」という信念のもと、信頼ある機械・製造ラインを作ることに力を入れ、時計の中心地であったスイスで、高級ブランドに時計の機械・部品製造の先端を行く供給元に成長しました。＜レベルソ＞を代表する自社ブレンドモデルなど、現在では数少ない自社生産のマニファクチュールブランドです。

Among Jaeger-LeCoultre’s self-winding alarm watches, the “Memovox” Ref.855 stands out as a particularly rare example, combining a two-tone dial with a world time display. This piece features a striking contrast, with a black outer ring and a silver alarm disc, while the inner section carries finely printed names of world cities. The stainless-steel case measures 36mm, striking a balance between practicality and presence. Inside beats the automatic alarm caliber K825 with date, designed with a separate mainspring barrel for the alarm, ensuring that its activation does not diminish the power reserve of the timekeeping mechanism.

The dial retains balanced coloration and sharp printing, with no significant deterioration to the alarm disc or indexes. The case is in mint condition, maintaining its original form and crisp surfaces. The movement runs steadily overall, and both timekeeping and alarm functions operate smoothly. Please note, this watch has not undergone disassembly or cleaning.

The two-tone world time Ref.855 is one of the most uncommon Memovox variations, with limited production numbers. Its combination of functional complication and refined design embodies Jaeger-LeCoultre’s horological philosophy at a high level. It remains a timepiece of enduring presence and desirability, whether as a functional watch or a collector’s piece.
