日付窓を9時位置に配した独創的なレイアウトが目を引く、2レジスター仕様のRef.146.017です。搭載ムーブメントはCal.930（レマニア3872ベース）。ダイヤルは放射状のサンレイ仕上げが施されたシルバーで、9時位置の永久秒針はクロスラインを配した簡潔な構成。デイト表示と重なりつつも視認性は確保されており、インデックスと時分針の上面に施されたブラックプリントが判読性をさらに高めています。ステンレススチール製の35mmケースはクラシカルなサイズながら厚みとエッジを感じさせ、Ref.1069ブレスレットと524エンドリンクが一体感のある着用感を実現しています。

ケースは使用感が少なく、シャープなエッジが保たれています。ダイヤルは経年変化のない清潔な状態で、夜光塗料のトリチウムは欠けがなく、美しいベージュ色へと落ち着いています。針とインデックスのプリントは鮮明で、視認性は高いまま維持されています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

Speedmasterでスポーツクロノの地位を築いたOMEGAですが、SeamasterやDe Villeラインを通じて、よりドレッシーなクロノグラフも展開してきました。Ref.146.017は1969年前後のわずかな期間しか製造されなかった短命かつ希少なモデルで、コレクターの間では隠れた名作として評されています。9時位置デイトという独自の意匠と、ドレスクロノとしての完成度の高さを兼ね備えた本モデルは、オメガのクロノグラフ史において異彩を放ち、今もなお魅力を失わない存在です。

COMMENT

The Ref. 146.017 stands out with its distinctive layout, placing the date window at 9 o’clock within a two-register chronograph design. Inside beats the Cal. 930 (based on the Lemania 3872). The silver dial features a radial sunburst finish, with a crosshair-marked running seconds at 9 o’clock. Despite the overlap between the date display and the sub-dial, legibility remains uncompromised, further enhanced by the black-printed tops of the indexes and hour/minute hands. The 35mm stainless steel case, though classically sized, carries a sense of thickness and edge, while the Ref. 1069 bracelet with 524 end links offers a seamless fit on the wrist.

The case shows minimal signs of use, retaining sharp edges throughout. The dial remains clean and free from aging, with its tritium lume intact and mellowed to an attractive beige tone. The printed details on both hands and indexes are crisp, preserving excellent legibility. Disassembly and cleaning have been performed by us.

While the Speedmaster cemented OMEGA’s reputation in the sports chronograph field, the brand also produced more refined chronographs through the Seamaster and De Ville lines. Produced only for a brief period around 1969, the Ref. 146.017 is a short-lived and rare model, regarded by collectors as an under-the-radar gem. Combining the unique 9 o’clock date layout with the elegance of a dress chronograph, it stands as a distinctive entry in OMEGA’s chronograph history — one whose appeal remains undiminished.
