COMMENT

41.6mmという大型ケースを採用した本モデルは、広いベゼル面積によって、海中での操作性と視認性に優れた設計がなされています。針には視認性に定評のあるベンツ針を採用しており、一目で時刻を読み取ることが可能。ダイヤルは時刻表示を中央にコンパクトにまとめることで、外周に大きく描かれたミニッツトラックが際立ち、分・秒単位の読み取りを重視した、実用本位のレイアウトとなっています。

ケースは使用感のほとんどないグッドコンディション。側面から上面にかけてエッジの効いた面取りラインがしっかりと残っており、シャープなシルエットを保っています。ベゼルのプリントには剥がれがなく、エイジングの兆候も見られません。ダイヤルはブラックの発色を良好に維持しており、視認性も申し分なし。針にはわずかなサビが見られるものの、全体として落ち着いた雰囲気を漂わせています。針に塗布された夜光塗料はベージュトーンに経年変化しており、クラシカルな趣を加えています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

本モデルは、1992年にフランス海軍に官給されたダイバーモデルと同型の民生用モデルです。裏蓋には矢印の刻印が見られますが、これはイギリス軍支給品に見られるブロードアローではなく、裏蓋の締め付け位置を示すための目印として施されたものです。付属の純正ラバーストラップは、フランス製のALASKA社バンドで、当時のオリジナルである可能性が高い希少な組み合わせとなっています。

DODANEは一般的な知名度こそ高くないものの、フランス空軍とのパートナーシップや航空用クロノグラフの供給など、軍事分野で高い信頼を築いてきたブランドです。フランス軍とともに歩んできたその歴史と、実用性を追求する姿勢が、本モデルからも感じ取れます。

COMMENT

This model features an oversized 41.6mm case, with a broad bezel designed to enhance both underwater operability and legibility. The dial is equipped with highly readable Mercedes-style hands, allowing for quick time checks even in demanding conditions. The time display is compactly arranged toward the center of the dial, while the outer edge is dominated by a bold minute track—an intentional design choice that prioritizes precise reading of minutes and seconds for professional use.

The case is in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear. The sharp bevel line running from the side to the top of the case remains well-defined, preserving the watch’s crisp silhouette. The bezel retains its full print with no signs of fading or peeling. The black dial maintains its deep tone, offering superb legibility. While the hands show slight signs of oxidation, they contribute a subdued, vintage character to the watch. The luminous material on the hands has gracefully aged to a beige hue, evoking a classic charm. The watch has been fully overhauled by our workshop.

This model was originally designed for the French Navy, where functionality was a matter of survival. Every detail of the watch reflects a focus on immediate and accurate information delivery—even under the most extreme conditions. It is fitted with the original rubber strap, engineered for high durability and resistance to tearing, making it a dependable tool even in the harshest environments.
