36mmのラウンドケースは、ラグへと流れるような美しいラインを描いており、柔らかな曲線美が印象的。ダイヤルはツートーン仕様で、光の当たる角度によって陰影が移ろい、立体感ある表情を見せます。Ref.4870は多彩なダイヤルバリエーションが存在しますが、バーとクサビ型を組み合わせたインデックスに加え、大きめのパールドットミニッツがあしらわれた、ユニークで華やかな構成です。象嵌により浮き上がるロゴは、この時代特有のクラフツマンシップの高さを象徴しています。秒針のテールは太めに設計されており、繊細さと力強さが共存するヴァシュロンらしい意匠。

ケースは優れたプロポーションを保っており、保管に伴うごく軽微な擦れこそ見られますが、打痕などの目立つ傷はなく、全体として非常に良好なコンディションです。素材の上質さや、丁寧に扱われてきたことが随所から伝わります。ルーペで厳密に確認すると、ダイヤルは微細なエイジングが見られますが、肉眼で気になることはありません。針・インデックスともに輝きを保ち、劣化のない瑞々しい状態です。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

18世紀中頃創業のヴァシュロン・コンスタンタン。日本では誤訳により長い間バセロン・コンスタンチンの呼称で愛されていました。キャビノチェの精神に受け継ぐ世界最古の高級時計ブランドです。キャビノチェは、照明装置の乏しかった当時、技術の高い職人は明かりを求めて屋根裏部屋（キャビネット）に工房を設けており、人々は彼らに敬意を表してキャビノチェと呼んでいたことが語源です。マルタ十字のクロスをブランドロゴに掲げ、高く洗練された優れた技術力によって生み出された名品はコレクターも多く、世界中から高い評価を得ています。

This Vacheron Constantin from the 1950s features a beautifully proportioned 36mm round case, with softly flowing lugs that create an elegant, fluid silhouette. The dial boasts a two-tone finish that reveals subtle changes in shading as the light shifts, lending the watch a rich sense of depth. While Ref. 4870 is known for its wide range of dial variations, this particular example stands out for its unique and sophisticated combination of bar and faceted wedge indexes, enhanced by oversized pearl-dot minute markers. The broad tail of the seconds hand reflects the house’s distinctive design language—one that balances delicacy with strength. The applied logo, rendered in fine inlay, is another hallmark of the exceptional craftsmanship of the period.

The case retains excellent proportions with only the slightest signs of storage wear and no significant blemishes or impact marks, reflecting both the quality of the materials and the care with which the watch has been preserved. Under magnification, faint speckling from age can be seen on the dial, but it remains free from discoloration and maintains a natural vintage appearance when viewed with the naked eye. Both the hands and indexes preserve their luster, showing no signs of deterioration. The watch has been fully disassembled and serviced by our workshop.

Among the many variations of Ref. 4870, this particular dial configuration is especially striking and rare.
