オメガ シーマスター300 Ref.2913です。1957年に発表された2913-1を皮切りに、1961年の2913-8まで、計8つのバリエーションが存在します。本品は1958年製造の-6で、ブロードアロー分針とロリポップ秒針を採用しています。ダイビングにおいて分針の視認性が重要視されたため、ブロードアロー針の役割が時針から分針へと移行しました。黒文字盤において、オメガが時計史上最も早く開発したとされるマットダイヤルは、機能性を追求した証といえます。レターとラインは下地出しの技法で描かれ、インデックスにはラジウムが埋め込まれ、ダイヤル面より一段低い設計が採用されています。大ぶりなベゼルには12時位置にマーカーが付いており、視認性を高めています。竜頭はナイアードです。

ケースは使用傷が最小限に抑えられた良好なコンディションです。ダイヤルは僅かな経年変化のみで、素晴らしいコンディションです。針は経年の影響はあるものの、くすみや傷はごくわずかで、美しい状態を維持。インデックスは整ったコンディションを保ち、全体としてバランスの取れた印象です。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。ここまで状態の良い2913はなかなか見つかりません。

オメガダイバーズウォッチの源流といえるRef.2913は、回転ベゼルを備えた初の本格ダイバー。ベゼルインサートは元来の作りが、通常の仕様で剥離が生じやすいです。この部分につきましては、現存していないものや修復がなされたものが常であるとお考えください。しかしその未完成の規格で世に出されたことが、腕時計史であり、その後の長い歴史の中で確立されたオメガの技術とデザインの原点を存分に味わうことができるでしょう。

COMMENT

This is the Omega Seamaster 300 Ref. 2913, the very first professional dive watch from Omega. Introduced in 1957 with the 2913-1, the reference saw eight iterations up to the 2913-8 in 1961. This particular example is a 2913-6, produced in 1958, featuring the broad arrow minute hand and the iconic lollipop seconds hand. Around this time, legibility of the minute hand became a critical aspect of dive watches, and Omega shifted the broad arrow from the hour to the minute hand accordingly.

The matte black dial—believed to be one of the earliest examples of its kind developed by Omega—was designed with functionality and readability in mind. The text and minute track are engraved and silvered, while the radium-filled hour markers sit recessed into the dial. The oversized bezel features a prominent triangular marker at 12 for enhanced visibility, and the watch is fitted with a Naiad crown.

The case is in excellent condition, showing only minimal signs of wear. The dial remains remarkably well preserved, showing only slight aging. The hands have aged gracefully with only minor patina and retain their sharp appearance. The indices are well-balanced and intact, giving the watch an overall cohesive and attractive presence. The movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.Finding a 2913 in this kind of condition is exceptionally rare.

As the origin of Omega's dive watch legacy, the Ref. 2913 was the brand’s first true diver with a rotating bezel. The bezel insert, by nature of its original construction, is prone to deterioration and separation—most examples today either lack the original insert or feature replacements. This is not a flaw but rather a reflection of the era’s experimental engineering. It’s part of the watch’s story, and a testament to how Omega's design and technical innovations would go on to define the standard for generations of tool watches.
