1964年に生産された国内初の150mダイバー、Ref.6217-8001です。国内外共に評価の高い名作で、62MASの名称で呼ばれています。細かいマイナーチェンジにより、様々なバリエーションがありますが、こちらは66年から67年までの約一年間に生産された、ビッグリューズにイルカのケースバックのタイプです。イルカの絵柄は三種類あり、こちらは第二世代のものとなります。ケースは角ばったCラインです。ベゼルは両回転式、スクリューバックです。ダイヤルはグレーのサンレイです。搭載キャリバー6217Aは手巻き機能のない、自動巻機械となります。リューズの一段引きによる日付のクイックチェンジが可能なため、日常使いに重宝しそうな一品です。

ケースはエッジが立った素晴らしいコンディションです。打ち傷がなく、オリジナルプロポーションを堪能できます。ベゼルは適度に小傷を帯び、雰囲気のある表情へ変化しています。ダイヤルは美しく、製造から50年経過したヴィンテージ品とは思えないほどのコンディションです。針やインデックスはルミナスが黒くエイジングしています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

This is the Ref.6217-8001, the first domestic 150m diver produced in 1964. It's highly esteemed both domestically and internationally, often referred to as the 62MAS. While there have been various minor changes, this particular model, produced from '66 to '67 for approximately a year, features a big crown and a case back with a dolphin motif. There are three variations of dolphin motifs, and this one belongs to the second generation. The case has a sharp-edged C-line. The bezel is bi-directional rotating, screw-back. The dial is a grey sunray finish. It's powered by the caliber 6217A, an automatic movement without manual winding function. With the quick-change date feature accessible by pulling the crown once, it proves to be a practical piece for daily wear.

The case is in excellent condition with sharp edges, devoid of any scratches, allowing one to appreciate its original proportions. The bezel shows moderate scratches, adding character and an aged appearance. The dial remains beautiful, in a condition that doesn't betray its vintage status of over 50 years. The hands and indexes have aged with a blackened luminous material. It has been fully serviced and cleaned by us.

The guardless, big-crown details make it a coveted item for vintage diver watch enthusiasts. This 62MAS paves the way for iconic Seiko divers like the Umetsu Diver and the '63 Diver.
