グランドセイコーRef.4520-7010です。45GSと言えば、8000番ケースがセイコースタイルとして有名ですが、7010はCラインの曲線美が楽しめます。ダイアルはシルバーのサンレイ、バーインデックス×バーハンドのティピカルなデザインです。インデックスや針にはそれぞれ上面にブラックを配しています。ノンデイトですので、時計本来のシンメトリーなフェイスデザインを楽しめます。搭載Cal.4520Aはブリッジ式のテンプ受けが印象的な10振動／秒（36,000振動/時）です。グランドセイコーですから、機械には個体番号が刻まれ、秒針規制（ハック機能）を搭載し、精密調整が可能な微動緩急装置・アオリ調整装置も搭載。精度を追求していたことが伺い知れます。石数も手巻の標準的な17石より多く、耐摩耗性に優れています。

ケースは目立つ傷などなく、エッジが残しており素晴らしいプロポーションで、小傷は最低限で当時のままを維持しています。ケースバックの刻印やメダリオンに劣化が見られないのは嬉しいポイントです。ダイアルはミントコンディションです。インデックスや針は上面のメッキに剥がれがなく、きらりと光を反射させます。当店にてオーバーホール済みで、パワーリザーブ43時間ほどを確認しています。

This is the Grand Seiko Ref. 4520-7010. While the 45GS is best known for the angular 8000-series case that epitomizes the “Grammar of Design,” the 7010 offers a different aesthetic with the elegant curvature of the C-line case. The dial features a silver sunray finish with a classic combination of bar indexes and bar hands. Both the hands and indexes are accented with black along their upper surfaces, enhancing legibility and definition. Without a date window, the dial preserves its symmetrical balance. Inside beats the celebrated Cal. 4520A, a high-frequency hand-wound movement operating at 36,000 vibrations per hour. Its bridge-style balance cock, hacking function, fine regulator, and micrometer adjustment system illustrate Grand Seiko’s relentless pursuit of accuracy. The movement also carries an individual serial number, and with more than the standard 17 jewels, it provides enhanced durability against wear.

The case retains sharp edges and outstanding proportions, with only minimal handling marks that affirm its well-preserved state. The case back engraving and gold medallion remain intact without notable degradation, a detail collectors will appreciate. The dial is in mint condition, with the indexes and hands showing no loss of their black inlay or plating, reflecting light with remarkable clarity. Recently overhauled by us, the watch delivers a reliable power reserve of approximately 43 hours.

Among vintage Grand Seikos, the 45GS is particularly significant, eventually evolving into the highly sought-after 45GS VFA.
