オメガの旗艦機種であるコンステレーション。ホワイトゴールドのケース、3,6,9,12時にダイアモンドを配した特別なモデルです。ダイアルは他のコンステレーションに比べ、非常にきめ細やかな縦ヘアライン仕上げを施しており、しっとりとした質感をはらんでいます。特別仕様に合わせたのか、文字盤中央が平面で、インデックス設置部が斜傾している、珍しいデザインです。注目するべきポイントは針の短さです。明らかに異様な短さで、当時の主要モデルにこのようなデザインは、当時の時計業界を牽引していたオメガの遊び心と余裕を感じさせます。インデックスを含め、全て細めのものが選定されており、より優美さに拍車をかけています。ラウンドSSケースには、多面カットのラグが組み合わされています。ベゼルやラグが細く、ケースだけでしっかりとした造形美を完成させながら、ダイアルの雰囲気を壊さない良いバランス感です。

ケースの状態は良いです。ルーペで確認をしますと小傷が見られますが、肉眼では全く気になりません。この時計のアクセントである多面カットのラグは、面取りが美しく残っています。アップライトのインデックス、オメガロゴ、針はくすみなく光を強く反射します。

画像のようにビビッドなカラーのベルトを組み合わせればダイヤの輝きと相まってアバンギャルドなイメージも楽しめますし、黒や茶のベルトをつければグレーダイヤルとステンレスケースでスマートな印象に一変させることもできる、意外な汎用性の高さを持った1本だと気付かされます。クオーツ時計開発以前の「精度こそ絶対的な価値」とされた時代の、オメガが誇る主力モデルですので搭載されている機械にも抜かりありません。

クロノメーター規格をパスした高精度なムーブメントCal,564を搭載。550番台以降のキャリバーは、可能な限り無駄を省いたスマートで完成された機械へと以降します。そのおかげで、デザインの規制が軽減され、よりスタイリッシュなフェイスが実現されています。日常的に使い易いのが魅力です。メンテナンスに関しても当店でも自信を持ってお付き合いさせて頂ける時計です。

この世代のオメガの機械は自動巻効率が優秀なため、手巻きを必要とする場合がほとんどありません。コンステレーションのオリジナル竜頭は、デザイン性を重視しています。手巻きし難いなど、マニュアルでの操作が重い感じますが、オリジナルの仕様であり、問題ありません。

In a unique design choice for this special edition, the dial's center is flat, and the index placement area is inclined, creating a distinctive appearance. A noteworthy feature is the unusually short length of the hands, a clear departure from the norm, showcasing Omega's playful spirit and confidence that influenced the watch industry during that era.
