This is a special military-issue model supplied to the Singapore Air Force. The caseback bears the military engraving “A/1465,” confirming its provenance as an officially issued piece. Its 35mm stainless steel case employs a straightforward yet robust screw-back construction. The matte black dial, produced specifically for this model, is fitted with white printed Arabic numerals and a minute track, reflecting a design that prioritizes legibility above all. Broad dauphine hands complement the layout, underscoring its reliability as a true tool watch. Inside, the hand-wound Cal. 286 (17 jewels) powers the watch, a member of the renowned Omega 30mm caliber family celebrated for its accuracy and durability.
While light surface marks can be observed on the case, the proportions remain well-preserved. The military engraving on the caseback is sharp and legible, an important detail supporting the originality of the piece. The lugs and bezel edges remain crisp, reflecting careful preservation. The dial retains its period-correct character, with luminous material that has aged naturally to a pleasing hue. All print details remain intact and legible. Serviced and disassembled by our watchmaker.
The Seamaster 30 supplied to the Singapore Air Force is an exceptionally rare example in today’s market. The present piece falls within a serial range closely aligned with a reference documented in a Christie’s sale (20171+++), suggesting delivery during the same period. With its unique military provenance combined with the dependable 30mm caliber, this model stands out as a particularly significant entry in the lineage of military-issued Omega watches. It is a timepiece eminently worthy of any serious collection.
