オメガの30mmキャリバー。Ref.2608はラグ上面の平面カットが印象的なケースです。ダイヤルはホワイトのギョシェ。インデックスはスクエア、上面に放射状の彫りを入れた、独自性あふれる意匠です。インデックス内側にチャプターリング、ダイヤルの余白をドーフィンハンドが駆け回ります。夜光塗料は無く、すっきりとしたドレスデザインです。実用性の高いインカブロック(耐震装置)を備えたセンターセコンド Cal.283を搭載。

ケースは傷の少ない爽やかな印象、ケースバックに少々傷が見られますが、許容範囲かと思われます。ダイヤルは世代を考えると驚くほどミントで、パウダーホワイトのようなトーンの高いホワイトを保持しています。ギョシェダイヤルでここまでクリアーなものはなかなか見られません。インデックスや針の状態もよく、上面の鏡面仕上げが美しく残っています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

懐中時計をそのまま縮めた様なオーソドックスなオメガ30mmキャリバーは修理がしやすく、堅牢な作りが特徴的です。1940年代の30mmキャリバーでここまで状態の良いものは、我々ディーラーでもなかなか手に入らない代物です。オメガの歴史でも重要なモデルですので、実用かつコレクションとしても最良な一品です。

COMMENT

30mm caliber from Omega, the Ref.2608, features a case with a distinctive flat cut on the upper surface of the lugs. The dial is adorned with a white Guilloché pattern, and the square indexes with radial engravings on the top create a unique and original design. Inside the indexes, a chapter ring is present, and dauphin hands gracefully sweep across the dial's margins. The dress design is clean, with no luminescent coating, providing a sleek appearance. It houses the practical and shock-resistant Incabloc-equipped Cal.283 with a central second hand.

The case gives off a refreshing impression with minimal scratches, although there are a few marks on the case back, within acceptable limits. Considering the era, the dial is surprisingly mint, maintaining a high-toned powder-white shade. It's rare to find a Guilloché dial this clear. The condition of the indexes and hands is excellent, with the top surface's mirror finish still beautifully preserved. It has been disassembled and cleaned by our team.

The conventional Omega 30mm caliber, resembling a pocket watch in a reduced size, is easy to repair and known for its robust construction. Finding a 1940s 30mm caliber in such good condition is quite rare, even for us as dealers. Given its significance in Omega's history, it is an excellent choice for both practical use and as a prized collectible.
