36mmのケースにブラックミラーダイヤルを収めた一本。ケース10時側の側面にはホールマークが刻まれており、幅広のベゼルと長く伸びたラグが、全体の存在感を一層引き立てています。針は夜光付きのドーフィンハンド。インデックスは楔形で、外周には夜光塗料が配され、3・6・9・12時にはアラビア数字が配置されることで、高い視認性を確保しています。ミニッツスケールはやや内寄りに設けられ、6時位置にスモールセコンドを配置。クラシカルでバランスの取れたフェイスデザインが魅力です。

ムーブメントは、1940年代から1950年代にかけて製造されたオメガの自動巻きキャリバーCal.342を搭載。半回転式のいわゆる“バンパー”機構は、自動巻きの黎明期を象徴する構造であり、巻き上げ時に手首へ伝わる独特の振動が、ヴィンテージウォッチならではの感触を味わわせてくれます。信頼性と趣のある動作音が共存する、歴史的価値の高いキャリバーです。

ケースは小傷こそあるものの、大きなダメージは見られず、全体として良好なコンディションを維持。風防に目立つ傷がなく、ダイヤルの視認性を妨げる要素はありません。ダイヤルはエイジングにより下地が透けており、夜空のような細やかな質感に変化。針はややくすみが見られますが、判読性には影響がなく、経年変化による落ち着いた印象を与えています。インデックスは鏡面仕上げの美しさがしっかりと残され、光の角度によって多彩な表情を見せます。夜光塗料は自然なブラウンへと変化し、全体にクラシカルな風合いを添えています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

COMMENT

Housed in a 36mm case, this piece features a striking black mirror dial. A hallmark is engraved on the case’s 10 o’clock side, while the wide bezel and elongated lugs contribute to a commanding wrist presence. The hands are luminous-filled dauphine style, offering a vintage elegance alongside excellent legibility. The wedge-shaped indexes are paired with luminous outer dots, and Arabic numerals are positioned at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock for quick and intuitive reading. The minute track sits slightly inboard, with a small seconds subdial placed symmetrically at 6 o’clock—altogether forming a classically balanced dial design.

Inside beats the Omega Caliber 342, a self-winding movement produced during the 1940s and 1950s. This half-rotor "bumper" mechanism is emblematic of the early days of automatic watchmaking, and offers a uniquely tactile experience: the rhythmic, spring-loaded motion of the rotor produces a gentle feedback on the wrist. Revered for both its mechanical charm and audible character, this movement is a piece of horological history in itself.

While minor surface marks are present, the case remains in overall excellent condition with no major damage. The acrylic crystal shows no significant scratches and offers a clear view of the dial. The dial has aged gracefully, with portions of the base layer subtly emerging—creating an effect reminiscent of a night sky. The hands show mild patina but remain highly legible, lending a subdued and mature aesthetic. The mirror-polished indexes retain their brilliance, catching the light at different angles with dramatic flair. The luminous material has aged to a warm, natural brown, enhancing the overall vintage tone. Fully disassembled and cleaned by our workshop.
