ユニバーサル・ジュネーブの最高傑作、トリコンパックスです。3レジスターのクロノグラフに、トリプルカレンダー、そしてムーンフェイズとあらゆる複雑機構を一つに集約したCal.281を搭載しています。

希少なムーブメントを保護するスピリノケースは、マイクロラウンドプッシャー・スクリューバックと当時の防水時計です。ケース左側の三つのプッシュは上から月の早送り、ムーンの早送り、そして日付の早送りです。ダイヤルはマットなホワイトダイアル。インダイアルはそれぞれ、12時は日付とムーン、3時は30分積算系、6時は12時間積算系、9時は永久秒針を指します。針はぽってりとしたものを採用しており、先端へいくにつれてテーパードします。最も注目すべきポイントは夜光無しであること。このRef.881101/01はほとんどが夜光有りのバリエーションで、ノールムのものは稀有です。UG純正バックルが付属します。

ケースは細かな保管傷のみと傷が少なく、素晴らしいプロポーションを保っています。ダイヤルはエイジングが最低限で、トーンの高いホワイトは健在です。針はエイジングが見られず、鏡面仕上げが美しく残っています。ブルースチールのセンタークロノ針は色抜けがなく、ポイントカラーとしても素晴らしいです。弊社にて分解掃除は済ませています。作動テストを行い、全てのファンクションが好調に動くことを確認しています。ビデオを掲載しています。

初代トリコンパックスは、ユニバーサル社の創立50周年を記念してバーゼルワールドにて1944年展示された記念モデルでした。その円熟機のこれは、70年以上をも経過しても時計ファンを唸らせる鮮烈な作品です。クラシックなスポーティーな意匠、溢れんばかりの複雑機構や、ポールルーターの意匠を継承したツイストラグと、常に最上位機種として打ち出されていたことが見て取れる逸品です。

海外では英国を代表するギタリストであるEric Claptonが着用していたことから、その名前で呼ばれる希少種モデル。中でも生産数が少ないノールムです。

ユニバーサル・ジュネーブの歴史は二人の時計師、エミーユ・デコームとジョルジュ・ペレによって1894年スイスで創業されたところから始まる。高級感溢れるデザインウォッチや複雑時計の製造を得意とし、クロノグラフの名品＜コンパックス＞を開発したことで、その名を時計史に刻んだ名門のブランド。

The pièce de résistance of Universal Genève, the Tri-Compax. Featuring a 3-register chronograph, triple calendar, and moon phase complications, all housed within the Cal.281 movement.

The Spirinox case, designed to protect the rare movement, features micro-round pushers, a screw-down case back, and was a waterproof watch at the time. The three pushers on the left side of the case control the quick-set functions for the month, moon phase, and date. The dial is matte white, with sub-dials indicating the date and moon phase at 12 o'clock, 30-minute chronograph at 3 o'clock, 12-hour chronograph at 6 o'clock, and continuous seconds at 9 o'clock. The hands are bulbous, tapering towards the tips, and notably, there is no luminescence. This Ref.881101/01 is a rarity, as most variations feature luminescent material. It comes with a UG genuine buckle.

The case shows minimal signs of wear, with only minor storage marks, retaining its excellent proportions. The dial exhibits minimal aging, with the high-tone white still vibrant. The hands show no signs of aging, with the polished finish still beautiful. The blue steel central chronograph hand retains its color and serves as a striking accent. We have conducted a disassembly and cleaning, performed operational tests, and confirmed that all functions are in excellent working order. A video is available for viewing.

The first-generation Tri-Compax was introduced at Baselworld in 1944 to commemorate Universal's 50th anniversary. Even after over 70 years, this mature masterpiece continues to impress watch enthusiasts. With its classic sporty design, intricate complications, twist lugs inherited from Paul Routier's design, it is evident why it was always positioned as the top-tier model.

Renowned British guitarist Eric Clapton was known to wear this rare model, hence its nickname. Among them, the No-lum model is particularly scarce.

The history of Universal Genève begins in 1894 in Switzerland, founded by watchmakers Emile Decomb and Georges Perret. Specializing in luxurious design watches and complicated timepieces, the brand made a mark in horological history with its iconic chronograph, the Compax.
