Among the widely recognized vintage Datejust models is the Ref.1601, and this particular piece stands out as a rare example, crafted entirely in 18k solid yellow gold. The precious metal case of the Ref.1601, similar to the Day-Date, features inwardly curved lugs and lacks drilled-through holes in the lugs, presenting a refined dress style. The dial boasts a sunburst finish, with a simple face devoid of luminous material. The alpha hands and multi-faceted indices contribute to the exquisite design of this vintage timepiece.

The case exhibits minimal signs of wear and boasts excellent proportions. A highlight is the clearly visible hallmark on the inside of the lug at 2 o'clock. The dial is in perfect condition, free from any noticeable flaws even under high magnification, preserving the original finish beautifully. The hands and indices gleam with a beautiful mirror-like finish. The bracelet shows no signs of use and maintains its pristine condition.
