This Ref. 1500 features a black mirror dial with gilt lettering—an arresting combination that commands immediate presence. The deep, lustrous gloss of the mirror finish is accented by sharply faceted bar indexes that add a bold, architectural touch. The hands are bevelled with a pronounced central ridge, creating smooth shifts of light and shadow as they move. The Oyster case, equipped with a smooth bezel, offers a clean and timeless profile, and the watch is fitted with a genuine Rolex Oyster bracelet Ref. 7835 with 257 end links and a 71/2 clasp code.

The lugs retain their full thickness, and the case shows only light storage marks, with no noticeable damage. The dial preserves its period-correct black mirror sheen, and depending on the angle, hints of reddish aging appear around the indexes and lettering, giving the piece a character unique to this example. The hands and indexes show minimal tarnish and exhibit beautiful reflections as they catch the light. The domed luminous plots remain well-formed and intact, maintaining excellent condition.
