COMMENT

1942年製造のロレックス。18金無垢のケースは粒金を乗せたベゼルと、ハの字状に広がったラグが華やかさを演出しています。ダイヤルはホワイトマット。クサビインデックスと、3.6.9のアラビアインデックスの組み合わせが時計の存在感をより際立てています。

ケースは傷が少なく、清潔感があります。ダイヤルはエイジングが現れやすいホワイトですが、当時の状態を保っている稀有な個体です。若干の経年変化は見られるものの、年式を考慮するとかなり良い状態です。針やインデックスはダイアルに見合う若干の経年変化のみで、鏡面がきらりと光を反射します。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

この時代において、ロレックスがここまで高品質で小さな製品を製造していたことに驚かされます。当時の美意識を表した工芸品であり、実用の道具としての使い勝手の良さ、精緻な造りに敬意を覚えます。

A Rolex manufactured in 1942. The 18-carat solid gold case features a bezel adorned with applied gold beads and lugs that spread out in an 'H' shape, adding a touch of elegance. The dial is matte white, with a combination of wedge indices and Arabic numerals at 3, 6, and 9, enhancing the watch's presence.

The case shows minimal signs of wear, exuding a sense of cleanliness. While white dials tend to show aging, this particular piece has retained its original condition remarkably well. Despite some minor signs of aging, considering its age, it remains in quite a good condition. The hands and indices exhibit only slight signs of aging consistent with the dial, with the polished surfaces gleaming brightly. It has been disassembled and cleaned by our professionals.

It's astounding to see Rolex producing such high-quality, intricate products in this era. It's a testament to their craftsmanship, representing the aesthetic sensibilities of the time while maintaining practicality and precision.
