COMMENT

12時のインデックスにチューダーのアイデンティティ「コバラ」がプリントされており、独自のデザイン性を感じさせます。ダイヤルはサンレイ仕上げで、針は先端が細めのペンシル型を採用。シンプルなバーインデックスとの組み合わせで、ノンルミナス仕様です。手巻きモデルのため、薄型のケースが装着感に優れたデザインです。ブレスレットは希少な15mm幅のリベットオイスターRef.7205、エンドリンク73、クラスプデイト67/3が装着されています。

ケースは傷の少ないクリアなコンディションを保っています。ラグのエッジが鮮明で、頻繁に使用されていないことが伺えます。裏蓋の刻印がしっかりと残っており、良好な状態です。ダイヤルはエイジングによりポツポツとした表面が見られますが、良いヴィンテージとして機能しています。針は小さなキズが見られるものの、輝きを保っています。インデックスはくすみが最小限に抑えられ、視認性が維持されています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

ほとんど見ることのない、サイズ。専用の15mmブレスレットが付属していることは、大きなポイントです。薄型かつ凝った意匠が光るチューダー。ロレックスのディフュージョンラインということもあり、デザインは洗練されており、特に小柄ながらも存在感を放つ素晴らしい一本です。

BRAND

1926年にROLEXのイギリス普及拡大のため誕生したディフュージョンブランド。ブランド名もイギリスの名門『チューダー家』にちなんだもので市民に親しみやすさをアピールしようとしていたことが窺い知れる。ヴィンテージチュードル人気のポイントはやはり、ケースやリューズなどROLEXのパーツが使われていること、チューダー家の薔薇の紋章をロゴに採用したことでロレックスと同じケースながら、ダイアルにはバラのロゴが配された“デカバラ”や“小バラ”と呼ばれるチュードル独自の人気モデルが誕生した。その後チュードルはロゴを盾をモチーフにしたものに変更し現在ではROLEXからは離れ、独自路線を進むことになる。

COMMENT

This Tudor timepiece features the brand’s iconic “Small Rose” motif printed at the 12 o'clock position, showcasing its distinctive design identity. The dial is finished with a refined sunburst texture, complemented by slender pencil hands and simple bar indices. It is a non-luminous configuration, emphasizing clarity and elegance. As a manual-wind model, the case is thin and refined. A riveted Oyster bracelet, Ref. 7205 with 73 end links and a clasp dated 67/3, is fitted to the watch, adding to its period-correct charm.

The case remains in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear, and the sharp edges of the lugs suggest that it has seen only limited use. The original engravings on the case back are crisp and well-preserved. The dial displays minor speckling due to aging, which adds character without detracting from its overall appeal. The hands show minor marks but maintain a bright, attractive appearance. The indices have only slight patina, ensuring excellent legibility. The watch has been fully disassembled, cleaned, and serviced by our workshop.

A thin, elegantly detailed Tudor model that reflects the brand’s roots as Rolex’s diffusion line. Despite its compact size, this watch carries a commanding presence, characterized by its sophisticated design and historical significance.

Founded in 1926 to expand Rolex’s presence in the British market, Tudor was named after the prestigious House of Tudor, aiming to offer more accessible timepieces without sacrificing quality. Vintage Tudor watches are especially beloved today for their use of Rolex cases, crowns, and parts, combined with Tudor’s own iconic designs. The rose emblem, seen on early dials—referred to as "Big Rose" and "Small Rose"—symbolized Tudor's unique identity within the Rolex family. In later years, Tudor shifted its branding toward the shield motif and has since established a strong independent presence in the world of watchmaking.
