COMMENT

本個体はホワイトダイヤルに「Sherpa Dive / RUBYROTOR」表記を備え、使用感のないNOS個体であるブラックベゼルと赤いインナーリング（先端の赤いトライアングル）が強いアクセントになっています。当時はブラックダイヤルが主流になりがちな中で、ホワイトダイヤルの個体は見栄えと希少性の両面で魅力が際立ちます。視認性を優先した太めのインデックスと針が、現代のダイバーズとは異なる時代感を纏わせています。

ムーブメントはCal.1124系の自動巻を搭載。ENICARが“Rubyrotor”と呼んだ機構（ローター支持部にルビーを用いる設計思想）を特徴とする世代で、1124系は1960年代半ば以降の個体で仕様差が語られることが多く、Ref.100/224のレンジ感とも整合しやすい内容です。

コンディションは、ダイヤルの焼けが自然で、ヴィンテージらしい表情として綺麗にまとまっています。針とインデックスはくすみや錆が目立たず落ち着いた状態。夜光は形を崩さずに残り、全体の統一感を損ないません。ケースは大きく崩れた印象がなく、ベゼルは販売当時の艶を保っており、良いコンディションです。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

ENICARの「Sherpa」ラインは、当時の探検・登山のイメージと結びつけて展開されたスポーツウォッチ群として知られます。なかでもSherpa Diveは回転ベゼルを備えた本格志向のダイバー系モデルで、ホワイトダイヤルの個体は流通が少ない傾向です。ベゼル、ダイヤルともにコンディションが良く、程よいエイジングが雰囲気を深めている点も、この個体の魅力と言えるでしょう。

エニカ社は1854年スイスで創業し、時計業界に歴史を刻んで160年以上。1910年代ヨーロッパの殆んどの国で鉄道時計として採用されたメーカー。クォーツ時計を最も早く製品化した事でも有名。

COMMENT

This example features a white dial signed “Sherpa Dive / RUBYROTOR,” paired with a black bezel and a vivid red inner ring with a red triangle at its tip, creating a striking contrast. At a time when black dials were the prevailing choice, the white dial stands out for both its visual impact and relative rarity. The bold indexes and hands, designed with legibility in mind, convey a distinct period character that differs from modern diver aesthetics.

The movement is an automatic from the Cal. 1124 family. This generation is characterized by ENICAR’s so-called “Rubyrotor” construction, referring to the jeweled support of the rotor bearing. Variations within the 1124 series are often discussed among pieces produced from the mid-1960s onward, aligning well with the expected range for Ref. 100/224.

Condition is pleasing overall. The dial shows natural aging that enhances its vintage character without disrupting balance. The hands and indexes exhibit no notable corrosion or discoloration, maintaining a composed appearance. The luminous material remains intact in shape, preserving visual harmony. The case retains its proportions without heavy distortion, and the bezel maintains its gloss, presenting in very good condition. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

The “Sherpa” line by Enicar was developed in association with the era’s spirit of exploration and mountaineering. Among them, the Sherpa Dive represents a true diver-oriented model equipped with a rotating bezel. White-dial examples are seen less frequently on the market, and the attractive dial condition—combined with well-balanced aging—adds further depth to this particular piece.
