35mmのラウンドケースは、立体的に張り出したファンシー・ステップドラグを備えており、個性的なシルエットを形成しています。ケース素材には18金ローズゴールドが用いられ、温かみのある色調と洗練された雰囲気を兼ね備えています。ダイヤルは繊細に仕上げられ、ブランドロゴおよび外周のサークルラインは、エナメル象嵌が施され、それはわずかな膨らみをもって浮かび上がる技法です。インデックスはアプライド仕様で、スクエア、レクタンギュラー、アラビア数字を織り交ぜた、1950年代らしい戦後の、遊び心の感じられるデザインを体現しています。時分針は幅の狭いペンシル型を採用しており、華やかなダイヤルの中にも、ミニマルで緊張感のあるバランスを保っています。ブルースチールの秒針は、テール部分がやや太めに設計されており、繊細さと力強さが同居するヴァシュロン・コンスタンタンらしい意匠です。

NEW OLD STOCKです。ケースはまさにスタンニングな状態で、使用の痕跡は一切見られません。一部に金錆が見られますが、保存状態の証として、除去せずにあえてそのまま残しています。純正ストラップは使用による癖や劣化が見られず、未使用品であることを物語っています。1950年代は、それにメーカープリントがありません。18Kローズゴールド製の純正バックル、オリジナルボックス、さらに近年発行のアーカイブが付属します。ダイヤルはミントコンディションで、経年による劣化は一切見られません。NOS品であっても、ダイヤルには経年変化が現れる個体が多く存在する中、本品は特筆すべき保存状態を誇ります。インデックスや針はすべて当時のままで、精緻な仕上げがそのまま残されています。コレクターズアイテムとしての価値を保つため、あえて分解掃除は行っておりません。ご希望に応じて別途オーバーホールを承ります。

18世紀中頃創業のヴァシュロン・コンスタンタン。日本では誤訳により長い間バセロン・コンスタンチンの呼称で愛されていました。キャビノチェの精神に受け継ぐ世界最古の高級時計ブランドです。キャビノチェは、照明装置の乏しかった当時、技術の高い職人は明かりを求めて屋根裏部屋（キャビネット）に工房を設けており、人々は彼らに敬意を表してキャビノチェと呼んでいたことが語源です。マルタ十字のクロスをブランドロゴに掲げ、高く洗練された優れた技術力によって生み出された名品はコレクターも多く、世界中から高い評価を得ています。 

COMMENT

This 35mm round case features boldly contoured, three-dimensional fancy stepped lugs that form a distinctive silhouette. Crafted from solid 18K rose gold, the case combines a warm tone with a refined presence. The dial is delicately executed, with the brand logo and outer circular minute track rendered in enamel champlevé—a technique that results in subtly raised detailing that catches the light with quiet elegance. The applied indexes are a playful mix of square, rectangular, and Arabic numerals, embodying a postwar 1950s aesthetic marked by creativity and optimism. The slender pencil hands introduce a minimalist counterpoint to the decorative dial, maintaining a sense of visual tension and balance. Completing the composition, the blued steel seconds hand is subtly weighted toward the tail—a design choice that captures both finesse and strength, characteristic of Vacheron Constantin’s attention to detail.

This example is preserved in true New Old Stock condition. The case is in stunning, untouched form, showing no signs of wear. A trace of gold bloom (oxidation) remains, intentionally unpolished to underscore its originality. The original strap shows no signs of use—no creasing or deterioration—indicating it has never been worn. As was common in the 1950s, it bears no maker's imprint. The watch comes complete with its original 18K rose gold buckle, presentation box, and a recently issued Extract from the Archives. The dial is in flawless mint condition, with absolutely no signs of aging—an exceptional feat even among NOS examples, where dial degradation is often present. The hands and indexes are fully original and retain their intricate finishing. In order to preserve its value as a collectors’ item, the watch has not been disassembled or serviced. A full overhaul can be arranged upon request.

In the 1950s, Vacheron Constantin remained an exclusive name, accessible only to a small and privileged clientele. Nearly all of its production from the period was cased in solid gold, with very limited numbers manufactured—underscoring its rarity. This example stands out further thanks to its highly uncommon fancy stepped lugs, which extend below the case back and emphasize a sculptural, architectural design. Such elaborate lugs were at the cutting edge of mid-century design, seen only on pieces from the most elite maisons such as Vacheron and Patek Philippe.
