COMMENT

放射状に広がるヘアライン仕上げの文字盤はクラシックな表情を備え、洗練された印象を与えます。針はセイコーを象徴する3面構成のドーフィンハンドを採用。インデックスは切子面を多く持ち、表面処理が施されているため光を受けるたびに多角的な輝きを放ちます。ハック機能を備え、日付の早送り・戻しの両方に対応する実用的なムーブメントが搭載されています。

ケースは軽微な使用傷こそ見られるものの、鏡面仕上げのラインをしっかりと維持した良好なコンディション。リューズ周りは傷がなく、整った状態を保っています。ダイヤルは細部に黒い斑点が確認できますが、通常使用では目立ちません。針はくすみのない鮮明な状態で、鏡面の質感を残しています。インデックスは薄い小傷がわずかにあるのみで、全体としてクリアな印象です。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

COMMENT

The dial features a sunburst hairline finish that lends it a classic presence and a refined impression. The hands are Seiko’s signature three-faceted dauphine style, while the indexes, with multiple angled cuts and fine surface finishing, catch and reflect light with dynamic brilliance. The movement is equipped with hacking seconds and allows both forward and backward quickset date adjustment, ensuring excellent practicality.

The case shows only light wear and retains its polished lines in very good condition. The crown area remains clean and undamaged. The dial has some small dark spots visible under close inspection, though they are not distracting in regular use. The hands remain sharp and free from tarnish, preserving their mirror-like finish. The indexes show only minor marks, maintaining a clear and elegant look overall. Serviced and disassembled by our watchmaker.

Ref. 4402-8000 belongs to the second generation of King Seiko models, introduced in 1961. In March 1968, the watch was manufactured during the same period when Seiko proved its superior precision at the Neuchâtel Observatory Trials in Switzerland, surpassing many competitors.
