セイコーフィールドマスター「コントラ」。1980年代のニカラグアでの対共産主義のニカラグア人コントラたちが着用していたとされています。
これは希少な日本国内専売モデル（JDM）で、オリーブドラブカラーを特徴としています。28mm×28mmの正方形PVDモジュールケースが二つ連なったデザインです。上は通常のクォーツ12時間計が固定されており、下はコンパス、マップメーター、デジタルウォッチを自由に組み合わせることができます。モジュールの交換は、4時の位置にある"クラウン"（実際にはモジュールを固定しているピン）を引いてモジュールを取り外し、別のものと交換します。セイコーCal.H558クォーツムーブメントが搭載されています。弊社でオリジナルをサンプリングして製作したレザーストラップを２本、オリジナルのバックル、タグが付属します。

当店にて電池交換しました。全ての機能が正常に作動していることを確認しました。当商品は現状にて販売しております。作動保証はしておりません。オーバーホールは施しておりません。

1960年代は、機械式腕時計は完成期とも言えるほどの発展を遂げた時期で、セイコーは精度コンクールの分野でも量産の分野でも、世界に追いつき、追いぬいた時代であった。同時に、「時計の電子化」が進展し、1969（昭和44）年12月にセイコーが世界初のクオーツ（水晶）腕時計を発売することにより、機械式腕時計からクオーツ腕時計へと大きく舵を切ろうとする時期でもあった。

COMMENT

The Seiko Fieldmaster "Contra" is a remarkable watch, reputedly worn by Nicaraguan Contras in the 1980s during their anti-communist efforts. This model is particularly rare, being a Japan Domestic Model (JDM) characterized by its distinctive olive drab color. The unique design features a square PVD module case, measuring 28mm x 28mm, with two linked modules. The upper module houses a standard 12-hour quartz movement, while the lower module is interchangeable, capable of holding a compass, map meter, or digital watch. Module exchange is facilitated by pulling the "crown" at the 4 o'clock position, which actually functions as a pin to release and swap the modules. Powered by the Seiko Cal.H558 quartz movement, this model comes with two leather straps, sampled and crafted by our store, the original buckle, and the original tag.

We have performed a battery replacement and verified that all functions are operating correctly. The watch is sold as-is, with no operational guarantee and no overhaul performed.

During the 1960s, mechanical wristwatches reached a pinnacle of development, and Seiko was a key player in this era, excelling in both precision contests and mass production. This period also marked the advancement of "watch electronics," culminating in Seiko's release of the world's first quartz wristwatch in December 1969, shifting the focus from mechanical to quartz timepieces.
