COMMENT

ダイヤルは深みのあるブラックで、針には中央に夜光が塗布されたバータイプを採用。インデックスは夜光塗料がしっかりと塗られた大振りなデザインで、暗所での視認性を高めています。回転ベゼルは10分ごとに数字が刻まれ、60分位置には視認性を意識したポイントが配されています。ケースは左右非対称の独特なフォルムで、リューズを守るように4時位置が膨らんだ設計。リューズには簡易ロック機能が備えられています。

ケースには使用に伴う傷が見られるものの、側面のエッジが立っており、良好なコンディションを保っています。ベゼルは傷や削れがなく、清潔感のある印象です。ダイヤルは退色の見られない美しい状態を維持。針にはわずかにサビが見られるものの、光を反射する鏡面の質感はしっかりと残されています。夜光塗料は蛍光色を保持しており、劣化は確認されません。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

ムーブメントには、ハック機能を追加したCal.6105Bを搭載。基本設計は6105Aと同様で、堅牢な作りが特徴です。ダイバーズウォッチとして水に強い構造ではあるものの、現存するリューズは当時のオリジナルであり、防水性については無いものとお考えのうえ、ご使用いただくのが安全です。ヴィンテージとしての魅力を存分にお楽しみください。

BRAND

1960年代は、機械式腕時計は完成期とも言えるほどの発展を遂げた時期で、セイコーは精度コンクールの分野でも量産の分野でも、世界に追いつき、追いぬいた時代であった。同時に、「時計の電子化」が進展し、1969（昭和44）年12月にセイコーが世界初のクオーツ（水晶）腕時計を発売することにより、機械式腕時計からクオーツ腕時計へと大きく舵を切ろうとする時期でもあった。

COMMENT

The dial is black, paired with bar-shaped hands that feature luminous material at the center. The hour markers are generously sized and filled with luminous paint for enhanced legibility. The rotating bezel is relatively large, marked at 10-minute intervals with numerals and featuring a prominent marker at the 60-minute position. The case design is asymmetrical, with a pronounced bulge on the crown side to serve as a crown guard—an iconic and distinctive feature. The crown is equipped with a simple locking mechanism.

The case shows signs of wear but retains sharp edges along the sides, indicating good overall condition. The bezel is free from noticeable scratches or wear, leaving a strong impression. The dial has retained its original color beautifully, showing no signs of fading. The hands exhibit minimal rust but still maintain a mirrored finish. The watch has been disassembled, cleaned, and serviced by our workshop.

The watch is powered by the Caliber 6105B movement, an upgraded version of the 6105A that includes a hacking function. While designed as a diver’s watch and resistant to moisture, please note that the crown remains original from the period and is not guaranteed to be water-resistant. We recommend handling it accordingly.

The 1960s represented a period of peak achievement for mechanical wristwatches. During this era, Seiko caught up with—and eventually surpassed—the world’s leading watchmakers in both chronometry competitions and mass production. It was also a time of dramatic technological transition, as watchmaking moved toward electronic advancements. In December 1969, Seiko launched the world’s first quartz wristwatch, marking a major shift from mechanical to quartz movements and revolutionizing the entire industry.
