Cラインケースを採用した“Seamaster 120”は、1960年代後半のモダンデザインを象徴するスタイルを色濃く反映しています。ダイバーモデルとしては稀少な30mmのミッドサイズで、フルサイズの36mmとは異なるスマートなプロポーションが特徴です。両方向にスムーズに回転するベゼルにはクリック機構がなく、視覚的にもすっきりとした印象を与えます。グレーマットのダイヤルには12時・6時・9時位置にアプライドインデックスが配置され、ホワイトプリントのレターや針が控えめながらもアクセントとして効いています。Ref.566.007と共通する仕様を持ちつつも、Ref.566.023はねじ込み式のリューズを備えています。

ケースは全体に使用傷が見られますが、オリジナルのシャープな輪郭を維持しています。特に側面のファセットは明瞭に残っており、造形の美しさが感じられます。ねじ込み式のリューズは誤操作による破損が多い中、本個体ではしっかりと機能しており、機構面での健全性が確認できます。ベゼルは全体的にわずかに色褪せが見られますが、経年変化として自然な範囲にとどまり、ヴィンテージらしい雰囲気を高めています。グレーダイヤルはオリジナルのトーンを維持しており、針はくすみなく夜光の変色も最小限。インデックスの夜光塗料は均一にベージュへと変化し、全体の印象をヴィンテージらしくまとめています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

The “Seamaster 120” with its C-line case is a faithful reflection of late 1960s modernist design. Unusually compact for a diver’s watch, this 30mm mid-size version offers a slimmer, more refined profile than the full-size 36mm model. Its bi-directional bezel rotates smoothly without a click mechanism, contributing to a visually clean and understated appearance. The matte grey dial is accented with applied indices at 12, 6, and 9 o’clock, while white-printed lettering and hands provide subtle contrast. While it shares key specifications with Ref. 566.007, this Ref. 566.023 is distinguished by its screw-down crown.

The case shows signs of use overall, but retains its original sharp contours. The polished facets along the sides remain clearly defined, highlighting the strength of the original design. Despite screw-down crowns often being prone to mishandling damage, this example functions properly—evidence of sound mechanical condition. The bezel exhibits slight, even fading that enhances the watch’s vintage character without detracting from its appeal. The dial has retained its original grey tone, and the hands remain clean with minimal aging to the luminous material. The lume on the indices has aged uniformly to a soft beige, giving the entire piece a cohesive vintage charm. Fully disassembled and cleaned by our workshop.

Though technically a sports model, the Seamaster 120 leaves an elegant impression thanks to its slim bezel and flowing silhouette.
