1950年代に製造された、通称“Cioccolatone（チョコラトーネ）”と呼ばれる大型スクエアケースのモデルです。ケースはツーピース構造で、33 × 33mmという角形としてはジャンボサイズ。特徴的なステップドラグが立体感を引き立てています。ダイヤルは電着塗装によるしっとりとしたホワイトトーンで、クサビ型インデックスとドーフィンハンドの組み合わせがクラシックな趣を添えます。ムーブメントは1940〜50年代にかけて製造されたCal.342を搭載。ローターが半回転する、いわゆる「バンパー」式の自動巻きで、手巻きから自動巻きへの過渡期を象徴する構造です。腕の動きに応じて独特の感触が手元に伝わる、当時の自動巻き時計ならではの味わいが楽しめます。

ケースは理想的なプロポーションを保っており、ベゼルのエッジは鋭さを残しています。面取り部分がしっかりと際立ち、造形の力強さが健在です。ダイヤルは当時の質感と色味をよく残しており、経年による著しい劣化は見られません。針やインデックスは光沢が保たれており、表情の良さを感じさせます。夜光塗料は黒く変化していますが、ヴィンテージらしい風合いとして受け入れられる範囲です。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

This model, produced in the 1950s, features a large square case commonly known by collectors as the “Cioccolatone.” The two-piece case measures 33 × 33 mm—a jumbo size for a rectangular watch—and its distinctive stepped lugs emphasize the sculptural depth of the design. The dial is finished in a soft white tone through electrostatic lacquer, paired with faceted dagger indexes and dauphine hands that evoke a classic mid-century elegance. Inside ticks the Cal.342, produced from the 1940s through the 1950s, featuring a “bumper” automatic winding mechanism in which the rotor swings in a half rotation. This transitional design, bridging hand-wound and fully automatic calibers, offers a uniquely tactile sensation that vividly recalls the early era of self-winding watches.

The case retains ideal proportions with crisp bezel edges and sharply defined chamfers, preserving its strong, architectural form. The dial has aged gracefully, maintaining much of its original texture and tone with no significant deterioration. Both hands and indexes preserve their original luster, contributing to a well-balanced visual impression.
