Ref.1016のマットダイヤル「マーク1」に分類される個体です。ブレスレットはフォールデッドリンクのRef.7836、エンドリンクは380を装備しています。

この時計はNEW OLD STOCK（未使用品）で、未使用品の存在は当時のモノづくりを理解するための貴重な資料のようなものです。ケースは目立つ傷がほとんどなく、裏蓋に販売当時のシールが残存。クラスプは自立するほどしっかりとした硬さを保っており、実使用がないことを物語っています。針はわずかな錆を帯びていますが輝きを保っています。針とインデックスに塗布された夜光はしっとりとしたベージュに経年変化。半世紀もの間は密閉状態、裏蓋が開けられることがなくても、ダイヤルや針はエイジングすることがわかります。

This example belongs to the Matte Dial “Mark 1” variant of the Ref.1016 Explorer. It is fitted with a folded-link bracelet Ref.7836 and end links 380.

The watch is New Old Stock (NOS)—a condition of remarkable rarity that offers invaluable insight into the craftsmanship of its era. The case shows virtually no noticeable marks, and the original retail sticker remains intact on the caseback. The clasp retains its original stiffness to the point that it stands upright when placed on a surface, clearly indicating the absence of prior use. The hands show slight traces of oxidation but retain their shine, while the luminous material on both hands and indexes has aged evenly to a soft, matte beige tone.
