多面カットのクサビ型インデックスとアルファハンドの組み合わせが美しい、クラシックな意匠を備えた一本です。ダイヤルは希少なブラックギルト仕様で、OYSTER ROYALでは珍しい構成。滑らかなドーム型風防とスリムなケースの組み合わせは、ロレックスの中でも際立ってクラシカルな佇まいを感じさせます。エンジンターンドベゼルが程よいアクセントを加え、全体の造形に引き締まった印象を与えています。王冠ロゴはフラット仕様で、スポーティーなニュアンスもほのかに漂います。ブレスレットはリベットオイスターRef.7205、エンドリンク60、クラスプデイト67/1を装備。時代を象徴する構成です。

This piece showcases a classic design with faceted wedge indexes and elegant alpha hands. The dial features the rare black gilt finish—an uncommon configuration for the Oyster Royal. Its smooth domed crystal and slim case together create a distinctly traditional silhouette, even within the Rolex family. The engine-turned bezel provides a refined contrast and structural precision, while the flat coronet logo subtly hints at a sportier nuance. It comes fitted with a riveted Oyster bracelet Ref.7205, end links 60, and clasp date 67/1.

The dial has gracefully aged into a uniform matte texture, where the gilt reflections and raised print details blend harmoniously. The hands have naturally revealed their brass base, evolving into a soft golden tone that contrasts beautifully against the matte dial. The case retains excellent proportions, and the sharply defined bezel accentuates Rolex’s signature sculptural aesthetic. The watch has been disassembled and cleaned by our team.

The manually wound Oyster Royal Ref.6427 was a long-selling model produced from the 1950s through the 1980s, with subtle design variations across the decades. Originally conceived as a mid-size model slightly larger than the Speedking, it later settled into a well-balanced 34.5mm case. This example, produced in 1966, represents a transitional period—its early-1960s full gilt dial features the later silver “–T T–” marking, reflecting the updated radiation safety regulations of the time. Blending classical form with matured refinement, this piece stands as an essential collectible in tracing the evolution of the Oyster Royal line.
