アール・デコ全盛期に製造されたロレックスの希少種モデル、エジプシャンです。エジプトのピラミッドを彷彿させるステップカバードラグの形状から、そう呼ばれています。9金無垢製製で、飛び出た竜頭がチャーミングです。ダイヤルにOYSTERの表記があり、スクリューバック・ねじ込み式リューズを採用しています。インデックスは12.3.9のブラックのプリント、針はブルースチールのバトンを採用しています。ダイヤル外周はミニッツトラック、内側にはギルトラインのハチマキを配しています。ラグはバネ棒ではなくはめ殺し式です。

ケースは傷が少なく、オリジナル通りの面が残っております。ダイヤルは年式を考慮すると、この上ないコンディションです。ブルースチール針やギルトハチマキはヤレがなく、しっかりとした輝きを見せています。弊社にて分解掃除済みで、パワーリザーブ42時間を確認しています。古い機械ですが、安定した精度で楽しめます。

ケース裏蓋にはイギリス、スイス、フランス、アメリカ、ドイツでの特許を取得してあることが所狭しと刻印されています。オイスターケースでこのようなアール・デコな造形のモデルは極めて稀です。当時の美意識を表した工芸品であり、実用の道具としての使い勝手の良さ、精緻な造りに敬意を覚えます。

The Rolex Egyptian, a rare model produced during the height of the Art Deco era, stands out with its distinctive step-covered lugs reminiscent of the Egyptian pyramids. Crafted in 9k solid gold, the protruding crown adds a charming touch. The dial features the OYSTER inscription and adopts a screw-down case back and a screw-down crown. The indices, printed in black at 12, 3, and 9, complement the blue steel baton hands. The outer perimeter of the dial hosts a minute track, while the inner part showcases gilt lines and honeycomb pattern. The lugs are of the press-fit type, not the usual spring bar.

The case exhibits minimal scratches, preserving its original contours. Considering its age, the dial is in impeccable condition. The blue steel hands and gilt honeycomb markers show no signs of wear, displaying a robust shine. The watch has been disassembled and cleaned by our team, confirming a power reserve of 42 hours. Despite its age, this timepiece offers stable accuracy for an enjoyable experience.

The case back is intricately engraved with patents obtained in the UK, Switzerland, France, the USA, and Germany. An Art Deco design within an Oyster case is exceptionally rare.
