ブラックギルトパイパンダイヤルのロレックス。インデックス設置部が一段下がり、アプライドのインデックスとのコンビネーションが立体のセクターダイヤルとなる、この世代のみに見られる特別なダイヤルです。こちらは希少カラーであるブラック。OYSTER PERPETUAL 表記と外周のミニッツ、クロスラインは下地出しを採用しています。6時位置のCHRONOMETER表記のみ、プリントとなっています。エンジンターンドベゼルはインデックスと連動したような、読時に優れた意匠です。夜光無しなことでこの時計の良さを後押ししています。フラットな王冠ロゴやアプライドの浮きROLEXなど、オールドロレックスならではの立体造形に富んだダイヤルです。付属のブレスレットは1950年代中頃まで取り付けられていた、WAB（ ＝Watch Accessories Birmingham）エキスパンジョンイングランドブレスレットです。希少とされる1950年代のブレスレットの中でも、とりわけ特別なものです。バックルの比率が細長く特徴的です。

ケースは適度に使い込まれているものの、傷が少なくバランスに優れています。ベゼルのエッジは健在で、パリッとしています。ダイヤルはマットな質感を見せています。一段下がったインデックス設置部に若干の経年変化が見られますが、写真ほど気になるものではありません。針やインデックスはくすみが最低限のみとなっています。弊社にて分解掃除済みで、パワーリザーブ50時間以上を確認しています。

This Rolex features a black gilt pie-pan dial. The recessed index setting combined with applied indices creates a three-dimensional sector dial, a special feature unique to this generation. The black dial is a rare colour choice. The "OYSTER PERPETUAL" inscription and the minute and cross lines on the periphery feature a sunken design. Only the "CHRONOMETER" designation at 6 o'clock is printed. The engine-turned bezel, synchronized with the indices, offers excellent readability. The absence of luminescence enhances the charm of this timepiece. With its flat crown logo and raised ROLEX emblem, it boasts a dial rich in three-dimensional details, characteristic of vintage Rolexes. The accompanying bracelet is a WAB (Watch Accessories Birmingham) expansion bracelet, typically mounted until the mid-1950s, and is particularly special among the rare bracelets of the 1950s due to its distinctive elongated buckle ratio.

While the case shows moderate signs of use, it has few scratches and maintains excellent balance. The bezel edges are sharp and crisp. The dial exhibits a matte texture. Some slight aging is visible on the recessed index setting, but it's minimal and not as noticeable as in the photos. The hands and indices show minimal tarnishing. The watch has been disassembled and cleaned by our company, confirming a power reserve of over 50 hours.
