すりばち状のインナーリングに5分刻みのインデックスを配置したポールルーター。ダイヤル中心は元々はブラックミラーでした。輝くインナーリングとクロスラインはシンメトリーで引き込まれそうな、秀逸なトータルデザインです。盤面を駆けるドルフィンハンドの針は、クラシカルで視認性が良いです。ケースは真円で、ねじれたラグです。ケースサイドはラグまで流れるようなシームレスな造りで、ジェラルド・ジェンタがまだ無名の時にデザインしたという背景も相まって、人気の理由が頷けます。ユニバーサル純正のゲイフレアー社製ストレッチブレスレットを装備しています。クラスプデイトは60/2、エンドリンクの刻印はCです。

搭載ムーブメントである、自社Cal.215-2は「MICROTOR」と呼ばれる、特殊な自動巻機構を備えています。自動巻の錘（ローター）を機械の上に配置するのでは無く、小さいローターをベースムーブメントの中に埋め込む事で、薄くエレガントなデザインに、スクリューバックの堅実なケースを実現しました。

ケースは半世紀以上経ったとは思えないほどの、良好なコンディションです。小傷のみで大きな損傷はなく、3面のねじれたラグはエッジが立っています。インナーリングは一切の劣化も見られません。ブラックギルトのダイヤルは、トロピカルと呼ばれる見事なブラウンチェンジです。ブランドロゴのレターやクロスラインは下地出しのため状態よく残っている点も評価できます。針は均一なエイジングを受けていますが、程度のよいもので雰囲気を良くしています。ブレスレットのストレッチファンクションは正常です。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

ポールルーターの始まりは、SAS（スカンジナビア航空） が耐磁性を備えた堅牢な時計の製作を、ユニバーサル・ジュネーブへ依頼したことからでした。当時SASが計画していた、北極を超える 2600 km の先駆的な飛行を称えるために、その名がつけられました。どこかエレガントでありながら、ツールウォッチのルーツを持っています。

This Paul Router features a dial with a honeycomb inner ring and 5-minute interval indices. The dial center was originally a black mirror, providing a striking contrast to the shining inner ring and cross lines, creating a captivating symmetrical design. The dauphine hands gracefully glide across the dial, offering both classical elegance and excellent legibility. The case is perfectly round with twisted lugs, seamlessly flowing into the case sides, reflecting Gerald Genta's early design prowess. Equipped with a genuine Gay Frères stretch bracelet by Universal, the watch exudes timeless charm.

Powered by the in-house Cal.215-2 movement, this watch boasts a unique self-winding mechanism called "MICROTOR." Unlike traditional rotor placements, MICROTOR embeds a small rotor within the base movement, allowing for a thinner and more elegant design while maintaining a solid screw-back case.

Despite being over half a century old, the case remains in excellent condition with minor scratches and sharp edges on the twisted lugs. The inner ring shows no signs of deterioration, and the black gilt dial exhibits a stunning tropical brown hue, with the brand logo and cross lines remaining in pristine condition. The hands exhibit uniform aging, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal. Fully serviced by our team, this watch is ready to be enjoyed.
