ロンジンが最大のライバルであるオメガに真正面からぶつかっていった果敢な1本です。ムーブメントはオメガのレジェンド30mmキャリバーの牙城を崩すべく満を持して送り出した、その名も「Cal.30L」、のセンターセコンド仕様Cal.30LS。通常、派生形としてのセンターセコンド仕様はベースのスモールセコンドのムーブメントに出車や受を追加したものです。しかしこちらはベースの30Lと比べて専用の部品が非常に多い仕様で、1番受けと輪列受けに至っては構成を大きく変化させており、こだわり抜いた贅沢な設計であることがよくわかります。

ケースはクラシックなテーパーラグ、洗練された幅狭のインデックスは1960年代への移行を感じさせます。3.6.9.12時のインデックスは長く、どことなくスポーティです。ドットの夜光塗料は、ダイヤルではなく、外周に位置する風防を押さえ込むテンションリングにデボスを入れ塗布した、他では見られない作りです。アーカイブが付属します。

ケースは傷が少なく、ラグのエッジを含めプロポーションに秀でています。ホワイトのダイヤルは色づきがなく、当時の色味です。ゴールドインデックスは、メッキの剥がれがなく、瑞々しさを感じます。ドットの夜光塗料は、特殊な位置にあるためか部分的に欠けてしまっていますが、UV発光はするのでさほど気になりません。弊社にて分解掃除済みですので、ご購入後すぐお使いいただけます。

30LSは30Lに比べてかなり少数の生産で、コンディションまで含めるとこの時計のように価値ある要素を兼ね備えた個体は希少です。当時のトップモデルにのみ採用されたルミナス付きリングは、わかる貴方のための特別なロンジンです。

This is a bold timepiece from Longines, bravely confronting its biggest rival, Omega, head-on. It features the "Cal.30LS," a center seconds version of the legendary 30mm caliber movement, aimed at breaking into Omega's stronghold. Typically, center seconds versions are derived from base small seconds movements with added components. However, the "Cal.30LS" boasts numerous specialized parts, including significant changes to the 1st wheel and the wheel train, showcasing meticulous and luxurious design.

The case design with classic tapered lugs and refined narrow indices evokes the transition to the 1960s. The elongated indices at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock add a sporty touch. The use of dot-style luminous paint on the tension ring surrounding the crystal, rather than on the dial itself, is a unique feature not commonly seen. An archive accompanies the watch.

The case is in excellent condition, with minimal scratches and excellent proportions, including the sharp edges of the lugs. The white dial retains its original color without discoloration. The gold indices exhibit no signs of plating wear and maintain their freshness. While some parts of the dot-style luminous paint may be missing due to its unique position, its UV glow compensates for any minor imperfections. It has been disassembled and cleaned by our workshop, ensuring immediate usability upon purchase.

The "Cal.30LS" was produced in considerably smaller numbers compared to the "Cal.30L," making timepieces like this one with valuable elements, including its condition, quite rare. The luminous ring, a feature only found on top models of the time, makes this Longines a special timepiece for discerning individuals.
