COMMENT

宝飾時計ブランドでありながらマニファクチュールという、唯一無二の地位を確立しているピアジェ。18金ホワイトゴールドのオクタゴンケースには、マラカイト（孔雀石）ダイヤルを収めています。マラカイトは独自の縞模様が特徴で、天然石のため個体差により表情が大きく変わりますが、こちらはメーカーロゴの上下と、中央下にバランスよく太く線の入ったバランスの良い表情です。ベゼルにもマラカイトをセッティングしています。盤上のプリントは、メーカーロゴとSWISS表記のみです。クォーツショックという時代背景の最中、機械式時計は最もシンプルな手巻きの2針ドレスウォッチで、再盛を図る動きが見られました。ワンオーナーものですので、ピアジェ純正のクロコダイルベルトとバックルが付属します。

ケースはケースバックに若干の保管傷が見られるものの、ホールマークやエッジは当時の完全のままを保っています。マラカイトは硬度が低いため、致し方ないのですが、ベゼルの石には若干の擦れ傷が確認できます。ダイヤルはスーパーミントコンディションです。入水などによるダイアルの劣化は一切見られず、石のダイヤルによく見られるクラックが確認できません。弊社にて分解掃除は済ませていますので、実使用にもコレクションにも最適となっています。

マラカイトは紀元前2000年頃のエジプトでは装身具として、現代でも貴石として扱われています。ピアジェでは現行品でも採用しており、永きにわたって愛されています。この個体は男性にも女性にも使っていただけるサイズ感となっています。この先も、メンテナンスを施して次の世代へと受け継ぐにふさわしい時計です。

Piaget, a renowned jewelry watch brand, stands as a unique entity by establishing itself as a manufacture. Housed in an 18K white gold octagonal case is a mesmerizing malachite (peacock stone) dial. Malachite, characterized by its distinctive striped pattern, varies significantly in appearance due to natural variations, yet this particular piece displays a well-balanced pattern with thick lines above and below the brand logo and at the center bottom. The bezel is also adorned with malachite. The dial features minimal printing with only the brand logo and SWISS markings.

During the era of quartz shock, when mechanical watches faced challenges, Piaget aimed for a revival with the most straightforward hand-wound 2-hand dress watch. As a one-owner piece, it comes with Piaget's genuine crocodile leather strap and buckle.

The case exhibits minimal storage marks on the case back, while hallmarks and edges remain in their original condition. Malachite, being relatively soft, shows slight abrasions on the stone in the bezel. The dial is in superb mint condition, displaying no signs of deterioration due to water exposure or common cracks seen in stone dials. It has been disassembled and cleaned by our experts, making it suitable for both practical use and collection.

Malachite has been used as jewelry since around 2000 BCE in ancient Egypt and is still regarded as a precious gemstone today.
