デイトジャストは1945年に登場して以来、ロレックスの主力モデルとしてその地位を保ち続けています。ヴィンテージデイトジャストとして広く知られるRef.1601の中でも、こちらは希少な例で、ケース全てに14金無垢イエローゴールドを用いています。貴金属ケースのRef.1601は、デイデイトと同様のラグの根の内側が盛り上がっている形状とラグに横穴がなく、ドレススタイルとして洗練されています。ダイヤルはSINGER社による製造で、ブラックミラー。レターやミニッツがギルトの最も需要のあるダイヤルです。アルファハンドと多面カットのインデックス、6時SWISS表記が、素晴らしいヴィンテージウォッチのデザインです。

ケースは傷がほとんど見られず、プロポーションに優れています。2時ラグ裏のホールマークがしっかりと視認できるのがポイントです。ダイヤルは下地のブラウンが全面に見え隠れしています。写真では伝わりづらいですが、ミラーの艶は残っており、独自の眺めていると深く引き込まれそうな魅力がありますので、一見の価値があります。針とインデックスは上面の鏡面仕上げが美しく輝きます。ルミナスは最高のベージュカラーで、ドットの形状に崩れは見られません。1960前半の個体はルミナスコンディションの良くないものが多いため、大きなアドバンテージとなります。弊社にて分解掃除済みで、パワーリザーブ48時間以上を確認しています。

The Datejust has maintained its position as Rolex's flagship model since its introduction in 1945. Among the widely known vintage Datejust models like the Ref.1601, this one is a rare example, featuring solid 14k yellow gold throughout the case. The gold case Ref.1601, with its lug shape resembling that of the Day-Date but without holes on the side of the lug, exudes sophistication as a dress style. The dial, manufactured by Singer, is a black mirror dial. With its gilt letters and minute markers, it's the most sought-after dial. The alpha hands and multi-faceted indices, along with the "SWISS" label at 6 o'clock, make for a splendid vintage watch design.

The case shows minimal signs of scratches and boasts excellent proportions. The hallmark on the back of the 2 o'clock lug is clearly visible, a notable feature. The dial reveals glimpses of the underlying brown base, displaying a stunning patina that we highly value as a result of natural aging. It might be difficult to convey through photos, but the mirror's gloss remains, exuding a captivating allure that draws you in.
