ダイヤルはラッカーホワイトにローマ数字を配した、希少かつ人気の高いデザインです。針にはブラックのペイントが施され、視認性を高めています。秒針の尻尾部分のみペイントを省いた細やかな仕上げからは、メーカーのこだわりが感じ取れます。日付表示は黒地に白文字で構成され、モノトーンの落ち着いた色彩バランスを実現。スナップケースながら防水性能を備え、実用性と意匠性を両立させています。

ムーブメントはIWC自社製のCal.8541を搭載。ペラトン方式の自動巻は爪により両方向巻き上げを可能にし、その完成度の高さから現代でも受け継がれている機構です。IWCが自社開発した最終世代のキャリバーであり、完成度の高さと美観を兼ね備えています。日付の早送りは夜の12時と11時半の間で針を往復させることで行う仕様です。

エナメル質のダイヤルは艶やかさを残しており、退色の見られないミントコンディション。細かく見るとローマ数字の一部にわずかな隆起が確認されますが、肉眼では気にならないレベルです。プリントの欠けはなく、つややかな状態を保っています。ケースはラグの稜線がしっかりと立ち、裏蓋の使用痕が少ない良好なコンディションです。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

The dial features a rare and highly sought-after design, finished in lacquered white with Roman numerals. The hands are painted in black, enhancing legibility, while the omission of paint on the counterweight of the seconds hand reflects the manufacturer’s meticulous attention to detail. The date display is executed with white numerals on a black background, achieving a refined monochromatic balance. Despite being a snap-back case, the watch offers water resistance, successfully combining practicality with aesthetic appeal.

Powering the watch is IWC’s in-house Cal.8541. Renowned for its Pellaton winding system, it allows bi-directional winding via pawls and remains one of the brand’s most celebrated innovations, still in use in modern calibres today. As the final generation of IWC’s in-house automatic calibres from this era, the 8541 combines refined aesthetics with robust engineering. Quickset for the date is operated by advancing the hands back and forth between 11:30 and 12:00.

The enamel-finish dial retains its original luster and is in mint condition, with no fading. On close inspection, very slight raised areas are visible on some numerals, though imperceptible to the naked eye. The print remains crisp and glossy throughout. The case maintains sharp chamfers on the lugs, with minimal wear to the caseback, highlighting its excellent preservation. Fully serviced by us.
