インデックス、インナーベゼルに起伏や角度を設け、視認性を上げた構成。インナーベゼルは12時間表記、外側ベゼルは60秒表記となっており、用途に応じて計測が可能。ブラックダイヤルには厚く盛られた夜光インデックスを配し、針の中央にも夜光を取り入れています。先端に夜光を備えたレッドの秒針が視認性を補強し、3時位置のデイデイトが日常での扱いやすさを支えます。

ダイヤルはクリアな状態を保ち、夜光インデックスに欠けや大きな劣化は見受けられません。針中央の夜光は色味の変化が少なく、ホワイトトーンを維持しています。針、インデックスともに傷が少なく、クリアな質感を保っています。ケースは使用傷が少ない状態を維持しています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

1970年前後の5スポーツは、実用性を前提としながらデザイン面でも積極的な試みが見られるシリーズです。インナーベゼルと外側ベゼルの両機能により、クロノグラフを備えずとも十分な計測性を確保しています。色彩と機能を両立させた構成に、当時の挑戦的な姿勢がうかがえます。

セイコーが1960年代後半から70年代にかけて精力的に展開していた、＜Seiko 5 Sports（セイコー ファイブスポーツ）＞は当時の若者の間で爆発的な人気を博しました。カラー文字盤やスポーティなベゼルデザインなど、ダイナミックなデザイン性で若い人のハートをわしづかみに。

COMMENT

A highly legible configuration featuring dimensional indexes and a contoured inner bezel. The inner bezel is marked for 12-hour indication, while the outer bezel measures 60 seconds, allowing for practical time tracking depending on use. The black dial is fitted with generously applied luminous indexes, with additional lume placed at the center of the hands. A red seconds hand with a luminous tip further enhances visibility, while the day-date display at 3 o’clock supports everyday practicality.

The dial remains clear, with no notable chips or significant deterioration to the luminous indexes. The lume at the center of the hands retains a consistent white tone with minimal discoloration. Both hands and indexes show few marks and preserve a crisp texture. The case presents with minimal signs of use. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

Around 1970, the 5 Sports line combined functional ambition with forward-looking design. The dual-bezel construction provides substantial measuring capability without the need for a chronograph. 

BRAND

Seiko expanded the Seiko 5 Sports line vigorously from the late 1960s into the 1970s. With colorful dials and sporty bezel designs, it captured the imagination of a younger generation and became one of the brand’s most dynamic and influential series of the period.
