The SEIKO Ref. 6138-8000 is one of the most recognizable models within Seiko’s celebrated 6138 automatic chronograph series and is affectionately known among collectors as the “Baby Panda.” Its stainless steel round case is paired with an ivory-toned dial and contrasting black subdials, creating a highly legible and sporty appearance. The dial features a tachymeter scale around the outer edge, a 12-hour counter at 12 o’clock, a 30-minute counter at 6 o’clock, and a day-date display at 3 o’clock. Powering the watch is the automatic Cal. 6138B chronograph movement, incorporating both a column wheel and vertical clutch system—advanced features that helped establish Seiko as a leader in chronograph development during the era.

The watch remains in very good vintage condition. The case shows light signs of wear consistent with age, while retaining the substantial profile and proportions characteristic of the model.
