ダイヤルはこの世代ならではのカッパーカラーで、ミニッツレールにホワイトを配した端正なデザインです。夜光をあえて用いない構成により、ドレスウォッチらしい落ち着いた趣が際立ちます。Cal.12.68Z 搭載機としては珍しい34.5mm径の大型ケースで、ステイブライト製のカラトラバスタイルにフラットベゼルを組み合わせた秀逸な造形を持ちます。ムーブメントはロンジンの名機Cal.12.68Zを搭載し、当時の高精度と耐久性を体現しながら、現在も安定した作動を誇ります。ラグはバネ棒式ではなく固定式です。

使用感をほとんど感じさせないミントコンディションの一本です。ケースは小キズすらほとんど見られず、魅力的なシルエットを保ったバランスの良いフォルムが際立ちます。リューズは摩耗が出やすい部分ながら良い状態を維持しています。ダイヤルは本来のカッパーカラーが鮮やかに残り、気になる経年変化の見られない素晴らしいコンディションです。ブルースチール針は深みのある発色を保ち、ヴィンテージらしい落ち着いた存在感を添えています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

本作は1944年製で、当時チリの代理店Weil社を通じて販売された個体です。アーカイブはチリの記載にスペルミス（唐辛子）があったため再発行されており、そのため二枚付属します。サイズ感とデザイン性を兼ね備えたこのモデルは、戦後ロンジンが持つ魅力を端的に伝える一本です。この年式でこれほどの状態を保つ個体は特品といえる存在で、端正な佇まいの中に個性が息づく造形は、コレクションとしても日常の装いを彩る一本としても高い魅力を放っています。

The dial features the distinctive copper tone characteristic of this era, complemented by a crisp white minute track. The absence of luminous material lends the watch a refined, understated appearance befitting a dress piece. Unusually large for a Cal.12.68Z model, the 34.5 mm case is crafted from Staybrite steel and combines a Calatrava-style profile with a flat bezel—an elegant and well-balanced design. It is powered by Longines’ renowned Cal.12.68Z, a movement celebrated for its precision and durability at the time, and still operating with notable stability today. The lugs are fixed rather than spring-bar type.

This example remains in mint condition with virtually no signs of wear. The case shows almost no surface marks, preserving a clean silhouette and excellent proportions. The crown—an area prone to wear—also remains in admirable condition. The dial retains its original copper tone with no notable aging, displaying an exceptional level of preservation. The blued-steel hands maintain their rich, deep hue, adding a calm vintage presence. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

This watch was produced in 1944 and originally delivered to the dealer Weil in Chile. The accompanying archive extract was reissued because the country name was misspelled as “Chili” instead of the correct “Chile” on the original document; therefore, two archive papers are included. Combining ideal proportions with thoughtful design, this model embodies the post-war charm of Longines. Examples from this period preserved in such outstanding condition are exceptionally rare. Its poised aesthetic, paired with subtle individuality in its design, makes it a compelling choice for both collectors and everyday wear.
