ダイヤルは2トーンのゴールド地に大胆な2レジスターのレイアウトを採用。のちのカレラに通じる造形的センスが既に芽生えており、当時の先進性を感じさせます。2・4・8・10時位置にはビス留めのドットインデックスが配され、針は繊細なリーフ型。カッパーカラーのミニッツスケールと、縁取りのあるギルトアラビアンインデックスは角度によって繊細な反射を見せます。インダイヤルはビッグアイ仕様で、視認性とデザイン性を兼ね備えた構成です。ケースは14金無垢製で、二段のステップラグが質感に奥行きを加えています。

ケースは使用感のない素晴らしいコンディションで、ステップラグのプロポーションは崩れておらず、小傷は最小限です。ダイヤルは経年変化がほとんど見られず、清潔感を保った状態で現存。高倍率のルーペで見ても質感の変化は見られません。針やインデックスはくすみがなく、美しく輝いています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

1950年代にホイヤー社が手がけた本モデルは、後のカレラへと繋がるデザイン思想と、当時のクロノグラフ製造における技術的成熟が見て取れる一本です。ロンジンやユニバーサルといった同時代の競合と比べても、その造り込みや意匠の精度に遜色はなく、スポーツクロノグラフとしての実用性と審美性を高次元で両立させています。ホイヤーが本格的な台頭を始める直前、デザインの先進性と、時計製造の円熟期に達した、一番面白い頃の作品と言えるでしょう。

COMMENT

The dial features a striking two-register layout set against a two-tone gold background—a design language that foreshadows the aesthetics of the later Carrera series, showcasing Heuer's progressive spirit of the time. Dot indexes are secured with visible screws at the 2, 4, 8, and 10 o'clock positions, and the hands are rendered in an elegant leaf shape. Copper-toned minute markings and gilt-bordered Arabic numerals reflect the light delicately depending on the angle. The oversized sub-dials ("big-eye" configuration) enhance both legibility and visual impact. The case is crafted from solid 14K gold, with double-stepped lugs that add dimensionality to its form.

The case is in exceptional condition with virtually no signs of wear; the stepped lugs retain their crisp proportions and display minimal surface marks. The dial shows little to no signs of aging and remains remarkably clean. Even under high magnification, no notable degradation in texture is observed. The hands and indexes are free of tarnish and shine beautifully. Fully disassembled and cleaned by our watchmaker.

Produced in the 1950s, this Heuer model embodies the transition toward the design philosophy that would later define the Carrera, while also reflecting the technical refinement of chronograph manufacturing at the time. On par with contemporaries like Longines and Universal Genève in terms of craftsmanship and design precision, this watch balances aesthetic sophistication and functionality as a sports chronograph. It represents a fascinating moment in Heuer's history—just before the brand began its rise to prominence, when its designs were bold and its technical maturity at its peak.
