COMMENT

機械式時計が隆盛を極めた頃のオメガのフラッグシップモデル、その中でも珍しいビッグな37mm径コンステレーションです。大きな金張りケースは他のコンステレーションにない存在感を放ち、どこか現代的です。ラグも同様に大きく、しなやかなシェイプで優美さに拍車をかけます。ベゼルは真ん中にエッジのついた山形で、立体感がありフェイスに奥行きを見せます。ダイヤルはシルバーの縦ヘアライン仕上げで滑らかな質感があり、コンステレーションらしいエレガントな印象を与えます。インデックスはバー、針はドーフィンハンドのクラシックな組み合わせです。

クロノメーターCal.561は、カレンダー早送り機能（21時⇔1時の間で針を往復させる）を備えた、5ポジション（五姿勢および温度調整）の高精度ムーブメントで、歴代の500系オートマチック・ムーブメントを改良した実績あるキャリバーです。

ほとんど使用された形跡がなく、極めて良好な保存状態を保っています。当時のボックス、ギャランティー、使用感の見られない純正レザーストラップが付属し、付属品の点でも特筆すべき内容です。ダイヤルは焼けや経年変化が少なく、艶やかで清潔感のある表情を保ち、針やインデックス、アプライドのΩロゴやスターはシャープな輝きを湛えています。ケースは素晴らしいコンディションで、ラグのエッジや面取りがしっかりと残されています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。
この世代のオメガの機械は自動巻効率が優秀なため、手巻きを必要とする場合がほとんどありません。コンステレーションのオリジナル竜頭はデザイン性を重視しており、手巻きし難いと感じるかもしれませんが、オリジナルの仕様であり問題ありません。

希少なジャンボケースに加え、完品に近い付属品が揃い、コンディションも申し分ありません。ダイヤル上を横切るクロスラインが印象を引き締め、堂々たる風格と静かな緊張感を漂わせています。精度・外観・保存状態のいずれにおいても高い完成度を誇る一本であり、ヴィンテージコンステレーションの中でも際立った存在感を放つモデルです。

COMMENT

This rare 37mm Constellation stands out among Omega’s flagship models from the golden era of mechanical watchmaking. The large gold-capped case offers a presence rarely seen in the Constellation line, with a slightly modern impression. The generously sized lugs flow elegantly from the case, enhancing its refined silhouette. The bezel features a distinctive angular peak at the center, adding a three-dimensional quality to the face. The dial is adorned with a vertical satin-brushed silver finish, delivering a smooth texture and the refined elegance emblematic of the Constellation series. It features a classic pairing of bar indexes and dauphine hands.

At its heart is the chronometer-certified Caliber 561, a high-grade movement adjusted in five positions and for temperature. It features a semi-quickset date mechanism, which allows the user to rapidly change the date by advancing the hands back and forth between 9 PM and 1 AM. As an evolution of Omega’s trusted 500 series automatic calibers, it offers both reliability and precision.

The watch shows virtually no signs of use and remains in outstanding condition. It comes with its original box, guarantee papers, and a genuine Omega leather strap that shows no signs of wear—making the complete set particularly noteworthy. The dial is remarkably well preserved, free from discoloration or spotting, and maintains a luminous, pristine appearance. The applied Omega logo and star, hands, and indexes all retain their sharp brilliance. The case is equally impressive, with clean edges and well-defined bevels. Fully disassembled and cleaned by our workshop.

Thanks to the high efficiency of this generation’s automatic winding system, manual winding is seldom necessary. The original Constellation crown prioritizes design, which may feel small when hand-winding, but this is entirely in line with its original specifications.

With its rare jumbo-sized case, full set of accessories, and superb overall condition, this piece stands out as a remarkable example within the Constellation family.
