50年間作られたスペードマスターだからこそ、マイナーチェンジを繰り返した経緯があり、細かなディティールの変化を見つける楽しみがあります。それがロングセラーの理由のひとつ。スピードマスターの中では製造期間の長い方であったRef.145.022ですが、ステップダイアルを備えているものと拘ると年式がぐっと狭まります。立体感のあるダイヤルと、ツイストラグのコンビネーションはムーンウォッチでしか味わえない意匠です。ケースはユゲニン・フレアー（HF=Huguenin Freres）製。シリアルナンバーが296+++++、裏蓋の内側は-69と5th最初期の年式です。ハンサムな1171ブレスが付属するのも嬉しいポイント。アーカイブが付属します。

ケースは最低限の小傷で、オリジナルプロポーションが残っており大変高評価です。ツイストラグの複雑なエッジが立っております。スピードマスターによく見られるベゼルの剥がれはほとんど見られません。ブラックカラーが外へ行くにつれてグレーカラーにフェードし、スペーシーな怪しさを感じる良いエイジングです。半ツヤのブラックダイヤルはブラウンカラーにチェンジしています。海外ではトロピカルと呼ばれる特別なエイジングで、特にムーンウォッチのそれは評価が高いです。ダメージは見られず、光にかざすと表れるステップダイアルの陰影を最大限に楽しめます。レターや針のホワイトのプリントは色味がよく残っています。ルミナスはベージュカラーが評価の高いエイジングです。針夜光は濃く焼けています。弊社にて分解掃除後、パワーリザーブは48時間以上を確認しております。当時のムーンウォッチをパワフルにお使いいただけます。ビデオにて作動している様子をご確認ください。

今でこそ「Speedmasterイコール宇宙」という図式がすぐに浮かび上がりますが、当時は宇宙とは全く関係のない、純粋なモータースポーツ用の時計として誕生。また、スピードマスターは、ダイヤルではなく外周ベゼルにタキメーターを表示した世界で初めての時計と言われています。1959年、スピードマスターはマイナーチェンジをします。ベゼルがアルミニウムの黒色ベースとなり、針の形状がアロー針からアルファ針に変更されたことで、より視認性が高まっています。NASAは宇宙での過酷な環境にも耐えうる丈夫なクロノグラフを探しており、名だたる強豪に勝ったスピードマスターを公式時計として採用。その後1969年人類初の月面着陸の際、スピードマスターを着用していたことは有名なお話。

The Speedmaster, being produced for 50 years, underwent numerous minor changes over time, offering enthusiasts the joy of discovering subtle detail alterations. This is one of the reasons for its enduring popularity. Among Speedmasters, the Ref.145.022 had one of the longest production runs. However, focusing on models equipped with a step dial significantly narrows down the production years. The combination of the three-dimensional dial and twisted lugs is a design exclusive to the Moonwatch. The case, made by Huguenin Freres (HF), features a serial number of 296+++++ and "-69" on the inner case back, indicating one of the earliest years of the 5th series. It's also a delight that it comes with the handsome 1171 bracelet. Archive papers are included.

The case exhibits minimal scratches, maintaining its original proportions, which is highly commendable. The intricate edges of the twisted lugs are prominent. Bezel chipping, often observed in Speedmasters, is barely visible. The black color fades to gray towards the exterior, creating a spacey, intriguing aging effect. The semi-gloss black dial has turned into a brown hue, a special aging referred to as "tropical" overseas, particularly esteemed in Moonwatches. There are no damages, and you can fully appreciate the stepped dial's shadows when exposed to light. The white prints of the letters and hands are well preserved. The luminous material has aged to a highly regarded beige hue, with the hands showing deep patina. After a full service by our workshop, it has a power reserve of over 48 hours. While today, the association of "Speedmaster equals space" is immediate, initially, it had nothing to do with space but was born as a pure motorsports watch. Additionally, the Speedmaster is said to be the first watch in the world to display a tachymeter on the outer bezel rather than the dial. In 1959, the Speedmaster underwent a minor change, with the bezel transitioning to a black aluminum base, and the hands changing from arrow-shaped to alpha-shaped, enhancing visibility. NASA was seeking a robust chronograph capable of withstanding the harsh conditions of space and chose the Speedmaster, which emerged victorious over its formidable competitors, as its official timepiece. It's a well-known fact that the Speedmaster was worn during humanity's first moon landing in 1969.
