セイコーダイバーの中で3世代目となるモデルの、REF.6306-7001。1976年から1979年までに作られたと言われています。海外向けの6309と違い、ハック機能の付いた6306Aを搭載しています。曜日の表記は漢字/英語を選ぶことができます。ダイアルコンディションがとても良く、プリントの色味が抜けず綺麗に残っています。裏蓋のシリアルの刻印は深く大変良好です。手巻が付いていない自動巻きムーブメントで、巻上げ機能が肝心です。オーバーホールの後のテストにて、１日半以上の作動を確認していますので、安心してお使いいただけます。

1960年代は、機械式腕時計は完成期とも言えるほどの発展を遂げた時期で、セイコーは精度コンクールの分野でも量産の分野でも、世界に追いつき、追いぬいた時代であった。同時に、「時計の電子化」が進展し、1969（昭和44）年12月にセイコーが世界初のクオーツ（水晶）腕時計を発売することにより、機械式腕時計からクオーツ腕時計へと大きく舵を切ろうとする時期でもあった。
