アイボリーカラーにローマ数字、外周にはレールウェイの定番ダイヤル。時計自体が大変薄く、着けやすいのが特徴です。ラグをセンターにのみ配することで軽やかな印象に仕上がっています。ベルトはクロコダイルを用いた薄型の高級仕様。LMサイズですが、今となっては小ぶりな印象がします。女性に試していただいても良いかもしれません。

マストシリーズには＜vermeil（ヴェルメイユ）＞という、シルバーの上に厚く金を貼る加工技術が用いられ手間とコストがかかっているため高級感のある仕様。ロジウムメッキ仕上げが施されたケースは、ホワイトゴールドやプラチナに劣らない、銀白色の美しい輝きが魅力です。その中でもマストシリーズは文字盤のバリエーションが豊富にあります。

現在では、ジュエラーとして名高いCARTIERですが、まだ懐中時計が主流だった1904年に本格的な腕時計を製作したのはカルティエが最初。＜ヴァンドーム（Vendome）＞はルイ・カルティエが馬車でパリのヴァンドーム広場を通りかかった時、車輪の取り付け部分を見てその形を閃いたことから命名されました。

COMMENT

Featuring an ivory-colored dial with Roman numerals and a classic railway track dial on the outer rim, this watch is exceptionally thin, making it easy to wear. By placing lugs only at the center, it achieves a light and airy impression. The strap, made of thin crocodile leather, adds a touch of luxury. Despite being an LM size, it might give off a slightly petite impression by today's standards and could be suitable for women as well.

The Must series incorporates the vermeil technique, layering gold thickly over silver, adding to its luxurious appeal despite the labor and cost involved. The rhodium-plated finish on the case offers a beautiful silver-white shine comparable to white gold or platinum. Among these, the Must series stands out for its rich variety of dial options.

Cartier, renowned today as a jeweler, was the first to venture into crafting genuine wristwatches back in 1904 when pocket watches were still prevalent. The name "Vendome" originated when Louis Cartier, passing through Place Vendôme in Paris in a carriage, was inspired by the wheel attachment mechanism.
