希少なGMサイズのマストタンク。LMサイズよりもひとまわり大きく、秒針と日付表示を備えた実用性の高いモデルです。ダイヤルはホワイトのマット仕上げに、艶のあるアラビア数字とカルティエロゴがプリントされ、中央および外周部はインデックスから一段低く設計されており、丁寧な造り込みが感じられます。この仕様はマストタンクの中でも後期にのみ見られるディテールです。ブルースチール製の針と、ブルーサファイアをあしらったリューズは本モデルを象徴する意匠。ロジウムメッキ仕上げのケースは、ホワイトゴールドやプラチナと並ぶ上品な銀白色の輝きを放っています。カルティエ純正のDバックルも付属しています。

ケースには目立つ傷が一切なく、ガラスも含めて非常に清潔な印象です。ダイヤルはエイジングが見られず、当時の美しさをそのまま維持しているミントコンディションです。ベルトはタンク専用サイズをもとに新規製作されたものです。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

現在では、ジュエラーとして名高いカルティエですが、まだ懐中時計が主流だった1904年に本格的な腕時計を製作したのはカルティエが最初でした。「タンク」という名前は、“戦車”を意味し、第一次世界大戦中の終結に貢献したといわれる、ルノー製の戦車がデザインの基となっています。その中でもマストシリーズは文字盤のバリエーションが豊富にあります。

COMMENT

This is a rare GM-size Must de Cartier Tank—a slightly larger and more practical variant than the LM size, equipped with both a central seconds hand and a date display. The dial features a matte white finish, printed with glossy black Arabic numerals and the Cartier logo. Both the center and outer perimeter of the dial are recessed relative to the indexes, a detail that showcases Cartier’s refined craftsmanship. This particular layout is found only in the later-generation Must Tank models. The blued steel hands and blue cabochon-set crown are signature elements of the design, while the rhodium-plated case radiates a refined silvery-white brilliance, comparable to white gold or platinum. A genuine Cartier deployant clasp is also included.

The case is free from any noticeable scratches and presents a clean, well-preserved appearance—including the glass. The dial remains in mint condition, showing no signs of aging or hairline cracks, retaining its original elegance. The strap has been custom-made to fit the Tank’s proportions and, together with the original Cartier clasp, contributes to the piece’s high level of authenticity. The watch has been disassembled and cleaned by our team.
