ダイヤルはシルバーのサンレイ仕上げで、インデックスは3面のファセットにより構成され、上面に鏡面仕上げが施されています。針はドーフィン型で、上面のフラットな面がクラシカルな印象を与えます。ノンデイト仕様のため、すっきりとしたシンメトリーなフェイスバランスが魅力です。搭載されているキャリバーはハック機能付きのCal.44Aで、実用性の高い手巻きムーブメントとして知られています。

ケースは使用傷が最小で、全体に清潔感を感じさせるコンディションです。裏蓋の爪周りに傷が見られない点は、非常に好印象です。ダイヤルはエイジングがなく、シルバーの持つ透明感を美しく保っています。針は鏡面仕上げが維持されており、くすみのない状態です。インデックスはわずかにくすみが見られるものの、全体としてはクリアで整った印象を残しています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

COMMENT

The silver sunray-finished dial features faceted indexes, each crafted with three planes and polished on the upper surface for added brilliance. Dauphine hands, with their flat top surfaces, lend a refined, classical character. The absence of a date display enhances the dial’s symmetry, offering a clean and well-balanced aesthetic. Inside, the watch is powered by the hand-wound Cal. 44A, equipped with a hacking function and celebrated for its practicality and reliability.

The case shows only minimal signs of wear, preserving a crisp and fresh overall impression. Notably, the case back is free of tool marks around the notches, underscoring its excellent preservation. The dial remains free from aging, maintaining the silvery clarity of its original finish. The hands retain their polished luster without tarnish, while the indexes show only faint patina, leaving the dial with a sharp, elegant presence. Serviced and disassembled by us.

This example is the second-generation King Seiko, Ref. 44-9990, introduced in 1967. Its minimalist design distills the essence of Japanese aesthetics, blending restraint with refinement. While understated, it conveys a quiet sense of dignity and timeless beauty that continues to radiate across generations.
