Ref.866Aは、長年作られたRef.666の次のモデルであるインジュニアです。666より少しケースが大きいため、ビッグインジュニアと呼ばれることもあります。重厚なケースは腕にずっしりとくる重さで、着用の際に高い満足感を味わえます。ダイヤルはブルーのサンレイ仕上げ。針はセンターにルミナスを配したペンシルハンドの時分針と、先端のルミナスのボックスが視認性の良い、細くまっすぐとした秒針です。6時位置の下部にこの年式ならではの σ T SWISS T σ の表記があるシグマダイアルは嬉しいポイントです。シグマダイアルは、インデックスに貴金属を使用していることを表したと言われています。貴重なゲイフレアー社製の純正ブレスレット、クラスプコード70/4を装備しています。

ケースは小傷のみのコンディションで、プロポーションに優れています。ダイヤルは良いコンディションを保っています。インジュニアはエイジングや焼けが進んでいる個体が多く見られますが、ここまで状態の良いものは貴重です。厳正に判断しますと、ダイヤル外周12時方向にブルーダイヤル特有の剥離が見られます。針やインデックスは比較的輝き、瑞々しさを感じさせます。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

The Ref. 866A is the successor to the long-running Ref. 666 in IWC’s Ingenieur line. With a slightly larger case than its predecessor, it’s often referred to as the “Big Ingenieur.” The substantial case delivers a noticeable heft on the wrist, offering a deeply satisfying wearing experience. The dial features a sunburst blue finish, while the pencil-style hour and minute hands include luminous inserts. The slender central seconds hand has a luminous box tip, enhancing legibility. This example is fitted with the original and highly sought-after Gay Frères bracelet, complete with clasp code 70/4.

The case shows only minor surface marks and retains strong proportions. The dial is in excellent condition overall—particularly rare for the Ingenieur, which often shows significant aging or fading. Upon close inspection, there is a slight flaking near 12 o'clock, a known issue with sunburst blue dials of this era. The hands and indexes remain bright and crisp, with a fresh appearance. Fully disassembled and serviced by our watchmakers.
