COMMENT

1930年代後半に製造された、Cal.23.4SCを搭載のジャンボカラトラバ。この年式で38mm径というだけで、特別な品であることがわかります。ダイヤルはツートン。光の反射が角度で明暗を2パターンに入れ替わる、この世代最先端の仕上げです。外周にアラビア数字入りチャプターリング、アラビアインデックスを品良く配しています。針は30年代に稀に見られた先端の細いタイプです。センターセコンドの秒針は外周のチャプターリングに届いています。バックルは当時のステイブライトです。

搭載キャリバーは温度補正のバイメタルテンプを備えた23.4のセンターセコンド。腕時計が隆盛していく時代の流れの中で設計されたメーカーの力の入ったキャリバーで、メンテナンス性など優れており、現在でも安定した精度が期待できる定評のあるムーブメントです。

使用された感が一切みられない、スーパーミントコンディションです。ケースは若干の小傷すらほぼない、ラグのエッジ、ケースのヘアラインが当時のままでパリッとしています。ダイヤルは大変ミントです。色味、質感の全てが当時もままを保っています。コンディションに関して、文句のつけどころのない逸品となっています。弊社にて分解掃除は済ませております。この希少な一本を当時のままにお使いいただけます。

This Jumbo Calatrava, equipped with Cal.23.4SC, was manufactured in the late 1930s. Its 38mm diameter, a rarity for that era, instantly marks it as a special timepiece. The dial features a two-tone design, with light reflection creating alternating patterns at different angles, showcasing the cutting-edge finishing of that generation. The outer chapter ring is adorned with Arabic numerals, elegantly arranged along with Arabic indices. The hands, with their finely pointed tips, are a rare type seen occasionally in the 1930s. The center seconds hand extends to the outer chapter ring. The buckle is the 1940's staybrite from that period.

The movement, Cal.23.4 with a temperature-compensating bimetallic balance, is a center seconds caliber. Designed in an era when wristwatches were gaining popularity, this caliber reflects the manufacturer's commitment, boasting excellent maintainability and stability in precision, even to this day.

In a super mint condition, it shows no signs of use. The case, with barely any small scratches, retains the crispness of the lugs, and the case's hairline finish is as sharp as it was back then. The dial is exceptionally mint, preserving all the color and texture of its original state. This piece stands out as an exceptional item with no room for criticism in terms of condition. It has been disassembled and cleaned by our company, ensuring you can use this rare timepiece as it was originally intended.
