モバードの希少種モデルであるクロノプラン。二つの回転ベゼルを備えており、当時ドライバーやパイロットに使用されていました。ダイヤルはツートン。外周からミニッツトラック、アプライドのブレゲインデックス、ブルースチールの時分針です。クロノプランはスモールセコンドのものがほとんどであり、センターセコンドモデルは希少です。二つのベゼルにはレッドポインターを配しています。外ベゼルを分針に、内ベゼルを時針にあえわせることで、それぞれの経過時刻を容易に計測することが可能です。

ケースは痩せの感じられない、素晴らしいプロポーションです。ツールウォッチですが打痕や大きな傷は一切見られません、ほとんど使用はされてこなかったのでは無いでしょうか。使用感の現れやすいベゼルやリューズはギザにヤレがなく、ファンクションは好調に作動します。ダイヤルは雰囲気良くやけ、ツートンが強調されています。

1930年代から展開されたクロノプラン。1930年代当時、回転ベゼルを備えたアビエイターウォッチはロンジンやゼニスなど、わずかながらに見られましたが、ベゼルを二つ備えたモデルはモバードが初でした。クロノプランは年式のためか現存数が少なく、入荷は稀です。また、当時の最先端であるセンターセコンドを採用した数少ない個体であり、計測器としてより高いスペックを有しています。

The Movado Chronoplan is a rare model equipped with two rotating bezels, a feature commonly used by drivers and pilots of its time. The two-tone dial includes an outer minute track, applied Breguet numerals, and blued steel hour and minute hands. While most Chronoplan models feature small seconds, the center seconds model is quite scarce, making it a sought-after piece. Red pointers on the two bezels facilitate easy measurement of elapsed time, aligning with the respective minute and hour hands.

The case boasts an excellent proportion without any noticeable signs of wear or significant scratches. It appears to have been sparingly used, showing minimal signs of wear on the tool watch. The often vulnerable parts like the bezels and crowns are in excellent condition with no noticeable wear and tear, and the functions operate smoothly. The dial exudes a charming atmosphere, emphasizing the two-tone design.

Introduced in the 1930s, the Chronoplan was among the early aviator watches featuring a rotating bezel, with a few other brands like Longines and Zenith also exploring this design. However, Movado's innovation of incorporating two rotating bezels was unique. Due to its vintage age, the Chronoplan is relatively scarce, and acquiring one is a rare opportunity. The center seconds feature adds to its appeal, representing a higher specification for a timekeeping instrument of its era.
