カジュアルと、フォーマルのバランスが素晴らしいこちらのオメガは、4点アラビアのダイアルが、一見活動的な印象ですが、アラビア数字がメッキのように反射する文字を採用しています。愛らしいフォントをよく見ると、筆先の跳ねまで光る精緻な手の込みようです。夜光塗料を用いないドレスナ雰囲気を持ちながら、ステンレスにスクリューバックケースと堅牢な作りです。実用性の高いインカブロック(耐震装置)を備えたセンターセコンド キャリバー283を搭載しており、防水、耐震がスポーツウォッチの物だけでは無くなり始めた、時代を感じる造りです。裏蓋が少し膨らんだケースは厚みがあり、加えて大きい機械を積んでいますので、アンティークの中では大ぶりの手巻きの機構を楽しむことができます。

針には経年を感じますが、現物は写真で見るほど目に付くダメージではありません。文字盤は世代を考えると驚くほどきれいで、目立った傷はありません。スーツに合わせて楽しめる清潔感のある状態です。ケースは過去の仕上げによる痕跡が見られない、極上のコンディションです。オメガのこのリファレンス(センターセコンドは2940,スモールセコンドは2439です。）でしか見られない、ラグからケースサイドにわたった曲線のえぐれた形状が当時のまま残っています。リューズはマーク付きのオリジナルです。

However, the Arabic numerals adopt a reflective character akin to plating. Upon closer inspection, the charming font shines with intricate detailing down to the bounce of the pen tip. Despite exuding a dress watch ambiance without the use of luminescent paint, it features a stainless steel screw-back case, demonstrating robust craftsmanship. Equipped with the practical Incabloc shock protection system, the central seconds caliber 283 challenges the notion that waterproof and shock-resistant features belong exclusively to sports watches, encapsulating a design that reflects the changing times. The slightly protruding case back, with its thickness and housing of a sizable movement, allows for an enjoyable exploration of a larger hand-wound mechanism within the realm of antiques.

While there are signs of aging on the hands, the actual damage is not as pronounced as it may appear in the photos. The dial, surprisingly clean considering its era, is free from significant scratches. It presents a cleanliness that can be enjoyed when paired with a suit. The case, devoid of traces from previous finishes, is in an excellent condition. Unique to this Omega reference (2940 for the center seconds, 2439 for the small seconds), the curved and indented shape extending from the lugs to the case side, remains unchanged from the original design. The crown is the original, marked Omega.
