オメガのスピードマスターラインに属するLCDウォッチ Ref.186.0004。製造期間は1977年末から1979年までの約18か月と短く、流通量の限られたモデルです。36.5mmケースにはスピードマスターの象徴であるツイストラグが与えられ、デジタル表示でありながらシリーズとしての連続性を明確に感じさせます。10時位置のプッシャーを3回操作することで時刻表示とストップウォッチ表示を切り替える構造を採用しており、誤操作を防ぐための配慮がなされています。3時位置のプッシャーはライト機能に割り当てられ、暗所での視認性を確保します。一般的な国産デジタルウォッチとは明確に異なる設計思想がうかがえる一本です。

本個体は弊社よりオメガへ直接依頼し、スイス本国にてコンプリートサービスを実施した後、戻ってきたばかりの状態です。LCDウォッチは構造上修理対応が難しい分野であり、メーカーによる正規サービスが行われている点は大きな安心材料と言えます。ケースは目立つ傷のない良好なコンディションを保ち、クロノグラフ機能およびライト機能はいずれも正常に作動しています。弊社にて製作した新品のカーフベルトが付属しますが、サービス直後の状態を維持するため、あえて装着せずにお渡しします。

今でこそ「Speedmasterイコール宇宙」という図式がすぐに浮かび上がりますが、当時は宇宙とは全く関係のない、純粋なモータースポーツ用の時計として誕生。また、スピードマスターは、ダイヤルではなく外周ベゼルにタキメーターを表示した世界で初めての時計と言われています。1959年、スピードマスターはマイナーチェンジをします。ベゼルがアルミニウムの黒色ベースとなり、針の形状がアロー針からアルファ針に変更されたことで、より視認性が高まっています。NASAは宇宙での過酷な環境にも耐えうる丈夫なクロノグラフを探しており、名だたる強豪に勝ったスピードマスターを公式時計として採用。その後1969年人類初の月面着陸の際、スピードマスターを着用していたことは有名な話。

Introducing the Omega Speedmaster LCD watch Ref. 186.0004, a rare model produced for only about 18 months from late 1977 to 1979. The 36.5mm case features the distinctive twisted lugs, a hallmark of the Speedmaster line. This piece comes with the original and rare Ref. 1305.741 bracelet. The time and stopwatch modes are toggled by pressing the 10 o'clock pusher three times, a design unique to this model to prevent accidental operation. The 3 o'clock pusher activates the light, aiding in reading the time in the dark.

The case is in excellent condition, showing no scratches, and the bezel, often prone to damage, is preserved beautifully. All functions are confirmed to be working correctly, although this item has not been overhauled by our company and is sold without a performance guarantee.

This watch stands out with its distinct presence compared to domestic LCD watches. Finding a complete set with the original bracelet is incredibly rare, making it an excellent choice for collectors.

While today the "Speedmaster equals space" association is immediate, the Speedmaster was originally born as a pure motorsport watch. It was the first watch in the world to display the tachymeter on the outer bezel instead of the dial. The Speedmaster underwent a minor change in 1959, with the bezel changing to a black aluminum base and the hands switching from arrow to alpha shape, enhancing legibility. NASA sought a durable chronograph that could withstand the harsh environment of space, and the Speedmaster was selected as the official watch, outperforming many strong contenders. Famously, the Speedmaster was worn during the first moon landing in 1969.
