COMMENT

5色で構成されたデザインが特徴で、視認性を重視した実用的なフェイスです。インナーベゼルは12時間表記、外側ベゼルは60秒表記となっており、用途に応じて計測が可能。ブラックダイヤルには厚く盛られた夜光インデックスを配し、針の中央にも夜光を取り入れています。先端に夜光を備えたレッドの秒針が視認性を補強し、3時位置のデイデイトが日常での扱いやすさを支えます。

NEW OLD STOCK（未使用品）です。未使用品という存在は当時のモノづくりを知る上で貴重な資料のようなものです。ダイヤルはクリアな状態を保ち、夜光インデックスに欠けや大きな劣化は見受けられません。針中央の夜光は色味の変化が少なく、ホワイトトーンを維持しています。保管に伴うわずかな経年感が表情に落ち着きを与えつつ、全体としての鮮度は高い印象です。ケースは目立つ傷が少なく、良好なコンディションです。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

1970年前後の5スポーツは、実用性を前提としながらデザイン面でも積極的な試みが見られるシリーズです。インナーベゼルと外側ベゼルの両機能により、クロノグラフを備えずとも十分な計測性を確保しています。色彩と機能を両立させた構成に、当時の挑戦的な姿勢がうかがえ、NOSらしい端正なコンディションと相まって魅力が際立つ一本です。

セイコーが1960年代後半から70年代にかけて精力的に展開していた、＜Seiko 5 Sports（セイコー ファイブスポーツ）＞は当時の若者の間で爆発的な人気を博しました。カラー文字盤やスポーティなベゼルデザインなど、ダイナミックなデザイン性で若い人のハートをわしづかみに。

COMMENT

Defined by a five-color composition, this model presents a highly legible and purpose-driven dial. The inner bezel features a 12-hour scale, while the outer bezel is marked for 60 seconds, allowing measurements according to need. The black dial is fitted with thick luminous indexes, with additional lume applied to the center of the hands. A red seconds hand with luminous tip enhances visibility, and the day-date display at 3 o’clock supports everyday practicality.

This is NEW OLD STOCK (unused). Such examples serve almost as archival references, preserving the manufacturing standards of their time. The dial remains clear, with no chipping or major deterioration to the luminous indexes. The lume at the center of the hands retains a clean white tone with minimal discoloration. Light storage-related aging lends subtle character, yet the overall impression remains notably fresh. The case shows minimal visible wear and is preserved in very good condition. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

Seiko 5 Sports models from around 1970 were conceived with practicality at their core, while also embracing bold experimentation in design. With both inner and outer bezel functions, this watch secures ample measuring capability without relying on a chronograph mechanism. The integration of color and function reflects the adventurous spirit of the era, and in NOS condition, its appeal is further heightened by its crisp preservation.

From the late 1960s through the 1970s, Seiko actively developed the Seiko 5 Sports line, which gained tremendous popularity among younger generations of the time. Dynamic design elements such as colorful dials and sporty bezel layouts captured the energy of the era and remain emblematic of vintage Seiko sports watches today.
