Ref. 6306-7001 represents the third generation of Seiko divers, produced from 1976 to 1979. Unlike the export-oriented Ref. 6309, this domestic-market reference is equipped with Cal. 6306A featuring a hacking function, allowing precise time-setting by stopping the seconds hand. The day display alternates between Kanji and English, underscoring its Japan-only specification.

The case shows light signs of use yet retains its overall silhouette. The bezel remains in good condition with no major peeling, and the luminous pip at 12 o’clock is cleanly preserved. The dial is free from visible damage and maintains its matte texture. The luminous material on the hands and indexes shows minimal tonal change and remains in very good condition. Within the lineage of Japanese dive watches, Ref. 6306-7001 stands apart for its domestic specification and mechanical refinement. As both a collectible and a practical tool watch, it offers lasting satisfaction. Its robust construction and authentic design language give it a strong presence as a vintage diver.
