COMMENT

ステンレススチール製の防水スクリューバックケースを備えた、レマニアの手巻きモデルです。シルバーのサンバーストダイヤルに、細身のバーインデックスと夜光付きのペンシルハンドを組み合わせた端正な構成で、過度な装飾を抑えた実用時計らしい佇まいが魅力です。スモールセコンドはインデックスと干渉しないよう中央寄りに配されており、余白を活かしたダイヤルバランスから、この時代の丁寧な設計思想が感じられます。

ケースは使用に伴う小傷が見受けられますが、ラグやベゼルのプロポーションは大きく損なわれておらず、当時の輪郭をよく保っています。ダイヤルはヤケが少なく、シルバーの発色が美しく残った良好なコンディションです。針とインデックスの夜光には経年による落ち着いた色味が見られ、ヴィンテージウォッチとして自然な雰囲気を備えています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

搭載されるCal.3000は、レマニアが手掛けた手巻きムーブメントで、12リーニュ、18,000振動のクラシカルな設計を持つキャリバーです。レマニアはクロノグラフムーブメントの名門として広く知られ、オメガCal.321のベースとなったCH27をはじめ、実用性と信頼性を重視した機械設計で高い評価を得てきました。本作はその華やかなクロノグラフとは異なる、シンプルな三針スモールセコンドの一本ですが、赤銅色のメッキを施したムーブメントや堅実な構造に、同社らしい質実な魅力が宿っています。控えめな外観の内側に、レマニアを選ぶ理由が確かに感じられる一本です。

BRAND

1884年の創業当初から、 クロノグラフを手掛けるエボーシュメーカーとして活躍。1940年代には自社名を冠したミリタリーウォッチを製作し、イギリス軍やスウェーデン軍に軍用時計を供給しています。 特にイギリス軍には陸・海・空軍すべてに同社のクロノグラフが採用されるなど、信頼度の高さを証明しています。また、エボーシュメーカーとしては、1932年以降にOMEGAなどのムーブメントの供給元にもなっています。 1969年の、アポロ11号月面着陸の際にアームストロング船長の腕に巻かれていたオメガの＜スピードマスター＞の機械は、＜LEMANIA＞が手掛けていたことを忘れてはいけません。

COMMENT

A hand-wound Lemania model housed in a stainless steel waterproof screw-back case. The silver sunburst dial is paired with slender bar indexes and luminous pencil hands, forming a restrained, utilitarian composition free from unnecessary ornamentation. The small seconds is positioned slightly inward to avoid interfering with the indexes, and the generous negative space reflects the thoughtful design sensibility of the period.

The case shows minor signs of wear consistent with age, yet the proportions of the lugs and bezel remain well preserved, retaining the original silhouette. The dial exhibits minimal discoloration, and the silver tone remains vivid and attractive. The luminous material on the hands and indexes has aged to a subdued hue, lending a natural vintage character. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

BRAND

Founded in 1884, Lemania established itself as a prominent ébauche manufacturer specializing in chronographs. In the 1940s, the company produced military watches under its own name, supplying timepieces to the British and Swedish armed forces. From 1932 onward, Lemania also served as a key movement supplier to brands such as Omega. Notably, the movement inside the Omega Speedmaster worn during the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969 was manufactured by Lemania—an enduring testament to its technical legacy.
